Ret pallies have been great dps since BC came out. No one had previously thought of them as good dps before then. I would know, I have an 80 ret pally right now. Ret pallies are currently the highest dps class you can play. Back when i was 70 and raided as ret spec, people thought i was crazy... till they looked at their damage meters. Reroll ret pally - they're the most fun class to play, hands down.

While playing my DK on beta, every time i see a ret paladin i have to run or I'm going to get stunned and hit for 1/2 my health.

Nwcredpill, I'll tell you how fucking much they screwed up wow. Lets just say it was pre-tbc and BC was coming in a few days you have full T3 and some guy who just lvls 60 Then Wotlk comes out and the guy who lvls 60 ends up with the same gear as you. Well the same thing is gonna happen in WOTLK someone has sunwell gear and someone just dinged 70, All the time and effort goes to waste!

The most fun I ever had in WoW was the first few levels and back when outdoor pvp existed...I played until around september 2006 so i already knew of tbc and at that point they introduced cross server pvp and it was nearly impossible to find anyone level 60 outside of battleground so i quit and it seems blizzard will never go back to the way it was before all the battlegrounds.

I'm late to this party (1 month late. Oh crap, I'm pregnant -_- ), but I have to disagree.

Over the last 2 years, Blizzard has progressively made it easier and easier to acquire gear. First there was Karazahn, which was always a joke. Then arenas, and now you can AFK PvP for practically an entire epic gear set.

Yes, I know there were pre-BC epics you could acquire similarly (Unstoppable Force, etc), but they were few and far between, and usually only a few per class. Not an entire set.

The damage you see in this clip isnt anything that other DPS classes in TBC carnt already do, even with lower gear then this guy, AND THIS IS WOTLK, its expected to see dmg increase for all classes in the expansion. So dont cry when you see a Ret pally get 3-4k crits, plus its PVE, its reduced in PvP, use your heads, and expect to use it when versing a Ret pally in WOTLK, just as Ret pallys had to do from the begining, and they still got lol'd and spat at, they deserve this.

So? Has anyone who bitches that ret pallys are OPed seen the new Warlock skill where they turn into a DEMON? The MASSIVE DAMAGE from Immolation? You could say thats OPed too! I play a Paladin, and I feel we deserve a buff like that. I have to give a fight all I've got often to win, I get rogues cheap shottin' me and by then the fight is already over most of the time. Mages can freeze me in place too. Pallys deserve this. Our stun takes a while to cool too. (I dont know about others though.)

Apecrew, shut up. You know how long the cooldown is on that? Not to mention Forbearance, which restricts me from using DS for a minute. If a mage can at least slow me once it goes down, I cant catch him. Warriors have Charge as an advantage, but I have to slowly advance towards the mage. Learn to STFU once in a while, not everyone is a tactical genius with their class.

Uhh, blessing of freedom, or rather hand of freedom, does not cause forbearance... Second, learn to dispel yourself in between swings and judge/seal/strike spammage. The thin line between a decent ret pally and a terribad one is the ability to dispel himself and others.

Don't compare the damage in this video to the damage you see ret pala's do atm in tbc because that is just plain dumb. And the thing is, ret paladins have to have large damage output because we have no silence ability and so fighting a disc priest with good gear is almost a joke atm.

consider that lvl 70 Season 4 gear is basically equivalent of lvl 75+ blue gear really. This only looks OP to those that geared up in BC, but for newbies, it wont be the same case. Honestly, it isnt OP when you look at a guy in greens trying to get by in northrend compared to a guy who geared up with some of the best gear you could get at 70!

kinda nice, also the healing and mana regen is way better now...full health on 2 holy lights and if you crit now you get xx% of the healing you did as a HoT(heal over time) effect.i belive it was 66% of the crit holy light you did

I tried PvPing a Paladin on the Beta Realms. It was pretty much like this video. Lots of crits and a fast death.

Not sure if there's a bug, but man... it looked awesome, and it confused the hell out of me when I died within 9 seconds.
