I'm sure they think they are neutral but I cancelled my membership over ten years ago because of the liberal slant which wasn't helping seniors. Take a look at the proposed bill -- most cuts are coming out of medicare.

the cuts are are to reduce fraud and wasteful spending in medicare. newsflash: aarp is not backing the bill but backing that fact that heath care reform is needed badly. there are points to the bill which aarp does not support at all. get your facts straight before makeing comments.. i;m just saying.

My facts are straight as I have dealth with AARP for 16 years. What you say is true as of today after all the heat they took over the summer. Folks wised up and took them to task. I am happy that they are seeing some of the light. Every one believes we need health care reform; responsible folks should not be punished because of 15% of the irresponsible populace. In my opinion we should help those who need the help and leave others alone.
