The arsenal at Kyota was actually the number one choice but at the last minute they changed to Hiroshima and Nagasaki because of they were both big military depots. Anyway, a land invasion would have killed atleast double this, so I don't know how any complains.

@CaptainBSOA the locations weren't the wrong choice. The U.S. compiled a list of about five places where to drop it. The arsenal at Kyota was actually the number one choice but at the last minute they changed to Hiroshima and Nagasaki because of they were both big military depots. Anyway, a land invasion would have killed atleast double this, so I don't know how any complains.
