  • I will try to send you the full scale test you will have to decide if you want to subject to your family to the ionization smoke alarm!!!! which is why the photo electric alarm is being mandated in an increase number of states I will point Nec Is by Nfpa??? I think it was already in an nfpa journal that the ionization alarm can no longer be called a smoke alarm

  • Your consultant may have a point. Too many home have no protection. Homes with smoke detectors are 50% less likely to have a fire related deaths. This is personal to me because my grandmother died in a home fire. I never was able to meet her.

  • photo electric is better than ionization my consultant tells me the ionization type is recommeneded as a recall product since it does not go off in smoldering fires

  • My consultant says that 50% is not the write number he also

    said it is better to say that if often does not go off in smoldering fires rather than it is ineffective
