@lebasson i thought that too, and then i realized i like the simple computer art look better; too many people would take this code and dress it up in particles and crazy effects without changing what it's doing.

I agree with you that more isn't necessarily better and sure, people tend to go apeshit on eye candy. However that doesn't change that the 'art' in this video is public code, and what's more it's packaged as a code example with you download Processing. Which is all fine and dandy depending on how much credit te creators of this piece are taking for their software endeavours.
