CC Deville is actually a much better guitarist than he ever showed playing in Poison. You can't show all your skill playing power pop and glam rock because its simple music. Look past the crazy image and hear how sound he is all the time his riffing is strong his solos are flashy and very fast.

Not live,...Eddie blows live. He's great off the tape but live it's like he forgets how to play...or maybe it just takes him 20 takes in the studio to get it right. Don't get me wrong, I love Eddie's tunes but he sucks ass live so I wouldn't say he's better than CC just because of how he sounds on tape.
Well you'd hope by his age he'd finally get it down. I saw them live many times in the 80's and trust me, everyone was disappointed to hear how bad he was live. I'm sure he's nailed a few performances down in the 30 years or so he's been doing this. But on the other hand...I've never been to a bad CC performance and that's really all I have to go by.
Leave a couple links of good Eddie live versions if you don't mind cause all I can find is garbage. Now, don't get me wrong...I love VH, they've been one of my faves since I was 8 but I really haven't heard a good live Eddie.
