It's funny, Fall Out Boy and Say Anything are probably my 2 favorite 'punk' bands, but I've never associated them with each other. They have that similar pop punk sound, but I listen to Say Anything for outstanding writing and above average musicality, while I listen to Fall Out Boy for Patrick's vocals... and nothing else. (Soul Punk was AMAZING the first time, but it had no replayability, IMO.)For me it's like comparing Red Hot Chili Peppers and CAKE. Both have assets, but only 1 stands out

i've seen FOB live once, seeing them twice this week. They are awesome live and im going to see them twice so i can have a good view seating in London and dance around like mad at Brighton. I love SA and FOB for different reasons, although I would say Max is a better lyricist. Often FOB songs dont make much sense, or the meaning is complicated, whereas Max's songs are usually straightforward and clear to understand.
