@andrewbnsf well yes the locomotive was purchased ready ti run from role models. it is the 2.5 inch scale version and they even make a bigger 3.75! I believe new they are around 50 grande. Great engines and almsot a scary amount of power! They look great though and are built better then any other locos of this type on
Thank you for your thoughfulness in sending a comment to me about my sick son. God bless you too Mr. Giordano. You are a wonderful fella for doing that. I will keep you in my prayers as well. Your friend........Kevin James
Dude i might have to steal ur idea for this weekend is are run weekend but the Dash 8 #596 wont be in it its going through a over haul new pump and rebuilt engine so that might be left out in a future video that i am going to do this weekend
Phillip cohen. He was at OCME with us wen we went to ur meet last year. He owns a computer website building company and hes a web genius! The galleries and articles are done by members like me. If you go onto are club gallery ull see that i have alot pictures. Phill is also a proffesional photographer
@aacuna09 haha its a great loco and a ball to run. pulls like tractor but gosh going town grade with one of the things is like stopping a.... run away train. such a heavy load they pull. usually 5 tons and the air brakes realy make a difference but still it takes alot of skill to run this engine!
well at our spring meet we had a 32 car train... not quite 52 but it was being pulled by Casford's Northern from Riverside up our Mountain Division with a little bit of trouble but he made it, and theres great youtube videos of it. Then we put two NS Dash 9s on the head which had no problem... I love those long trains but the worst thing about long trains like that is breaking them up at the end and trying to find where to return everyone's cars while blocking the entire yard and mainline....
yeah i was there for that one the 32 car trian and the triple header dame that was nice i took the video for Joel for us it did not matter cause we just pulled all the club cars out and sat everyone on one who wanted to run it it was my first fall meet the said here try it i did and i did better then all the old farts
no its not that, we have a club owned RMI Forney that I run regularly. For one the cab setup doesn't look very nice because of that awful Briggs boiler, the paint doesn't look very good and theres a couple of other odd things about it that bugs me... Actually I'm really happy with our LALS #8 right now because we have Joel's beautiful whistle on it right now and its been running beautifully...
what he gave it to u after he took it apart his did he give u the whistle valve man that engine was a challenge to run at train mountain espacially hearing it bark up the hills there was nice
umm ya we bought his trailer so he came down on sunday and since he dont got a boiler and our whistle sucks he brought us his... he was telling me all hes done to his train and all hes doing to his locomotive and it sounds really great... with LALS being his home club he said as soon as its done its coming straight to LALS to make its debut....
I didnt personally buy it but my "Dad" from LALS bought it and we'll use it for the NS Dash 9s or my engine and our fleet of freight cars and probably we'll take the Mogul too.
we will definitely bring the stuff to ocme at some point... we're going to BCW for presidents day then we probably wont be going anywhere for a long time, but come time for the ocme spring meet i'll start coming down there hopefully regularly cuz i havent been able to go in a year or so....
Jeff garbed rusty and that little 50 actually pulled all those cars around twice but it was neat to see wheel slips on that little engine. Its has transmission on it so it can pull we only stayed on top did not want to risk breaking all the knuckles on the cars so it was fun we used the SP Dash 9 1104 kinda like the the two Norfolks u guys have except we use the second unit as power but yeah....
Is it Roll Models that manufactured the 70 tonner and if you know how much would it be, new?
