Dude...this game was one of my very favorites back in the ps1 days! It brings back memories of me being scared to death to make any move what so ever, but wanting to move on with the game and having my sis sitting next to me being even more scared, but just as interested. :]

In the demo I played there wasn't a different voice but they cut most of it completely. They did different dialogue right after "This is Rupture Farms" or something, where Abe said "And then I found out they were gonna turn us into lunch. That's when I knew I had to escape. So, get me out of here! (And help me rescue the others.)"

When I bought Halo: Combat Evolved for the original XBOX for the first time there was a demo to a game with Oddworld in the title and I played it and it was a typical platformer but it looked nothing like this. this is...dark and gritty (like Rayman...wait is that a good example?) then was Stranger's Wrath that came out for the original XBOX which also had Oddworld in the title.

Actually, about the Glukkons. Aren't they like standing on their hands? Or is my memory that twisted? I recall them having only a tiny tiny bodies with small legs, and what we see as their feet are actually their hands. Not 100% sure about this, that's just how I remember it.

the intro FMV was different in a sense, it was still the same voice actor that did the demo, but interestingly enough the demo was made AFTER the game went gold, though it was released before the game was out obviously. and because of this he had settled into the role more, interestingly enough, the voice actor is actually the creator of the games

You are right about the demo opening movie and the retail movie sounding a bit different because at the end of the movie in the demo version Abe would say "So get me out of here and help me save my friend."

Anyway Abe's Oddysee is one of the greatest video ever and I am glad that you are doing an LP on the game. I expect many rage moment since the game is hard.
