  • Gargoyles and faeries and men. Oh my.

  • Oberon has a cape from the Thor movie.

  • Did they change the Banshee's voice?

  • Ahh, the good ole days when Disney actually showed cartoons instead of the live action abominations they have now.

  • did anyone else notice the mother sounds like captain Janeway from Star trek or was that just me?

  • @MegaArcticfox no it's not just you it has to do with the fact tht they're both played by Kate Mulgrew.

  • awwww family reunions

  • That was a long ass journey, 9 months? Holy shit! I can't even spend nine days on vacation with my family!

  • Why is always that whenever some bystander sees something crazy they blame it on something they drink? Before anyone responds, this is a rhetorical question.

  • Owen is so handsome!

  • 4:27 to 4:32 Bull f****** s***

  • Hey, it's that jogger again! How ya doin' pal, we haven't seen you in while.

  • So all the gods are actually Oberon's children? That's kinda weak.

  • @CidTheNinja They're not actually his children. It's just a term he came up with when he seized power from his mother because it made him seem more reasonable. That's why he goes by "Lord Oberon" instead of "King Oberon."

  • @2wingo I know that. The same sort of thing goes on in real life world mythology. What I meant was that all these deities that were previously thought of as being the most powerful of their respective pantheons, but now we know that guys like the all-father aren't really the all-father of even their own pantheons. That's what's weak.

  • @CidTheNinja Weisman is a Shakespeare nut and wanted the Shakespearean characters to be the top dogs.

  • @2wingo given the shear amount of Shakespearean characters this show has, this sounds likely

  • DAAAAAMN, Father of all the gods D: now that's a Title

  • ...I just realized that Oberon is wearing thigh-high boots. How stripper-riffic of him.

  • Oberon: He forgets he is mine.

LMAO! Oh, he knows he's yours, my Lord Oberon. Oh, he knows.

  • wtf so hes the father of all the gods thats lame

  • @dromonod He's not actually their father. It's just a title.

  • LOL I love how Xanatos's dad flipped when he saw the two at the beginning. At least disney finally said the two weren't related.

  • He looks like his father, but he has his mothers eyes....who else fits that description? >.>

  • wow, did they based this ep on my family's christmas meeting because baenn'shie looks like my aunt O_O

  • That baby doesnt look like Sanatos at all. I wonder if he is really the father LOL

  • No! Princess Katherine is the cougar. She married that kid Tom while the old wizard died loving her ass.

  • Why/how are there two Owen Burnetts?

  • *Oberon leaves to track down puck*

Spider: so, what do till he gets back?

    Odin: ....shit

  • have u noticed the alot of these gargoyles episodes was uploaded by the same person? what a nolifer lol but this 1 ( the gathering) is my favorite

  • have u noticed the alot of these gargoyles episodes was uploaded b4 the same person? what a nolifer lol but this 1 ( the gathering) is my favorite

  • Is Anastasia a pedophile ?

  • @KyrenS64Gotham

    No, Anastasia is a couger. ; )

  • @HindsightPOV Ha ha, perhaps yes

  • No one should be answering to Oberon, they're all their own Gods. This is ridiculous, what I don't understand is why Shakespeare's Oberon is used in so much media. Completely ridiculous.

    Still love the show though.

  • @fuebix I never understood it either! Oberon isn't even *that* great! Either way, Gargoyles is still f*cking awesome. =)

  • @fuebix What other examples are there? Besides this show and of course "a mid summer nights dream" I have never seen oberon used for anything other than a minor character like in Neil Geimans the sandman series. Half the time they just call them fairies and dont even reference Oberon, titania , or puck. In fact this is one one of the only times I have seen the character get any real play.

  • whats up with owens stone fist. one episode he has it the next he doesn't

  • @titantron1216

Owen volunteered to test the effects of the magical cauldron to see if it granted immortality, something Xanataos was obsessed with at the time. It didn't work, but instead turned his immersed hand into stone. They were originally going to test it on Hudson and even faked his death so the rest of the clan wouldn't search for him. But he escaped so Owen stepped forward as a gesture of his loyalty to Xanatos.

  • @HindsightPOV i saw that episode, i just dont get how one episode he has the stone hand then the next its gone

  • @titantron1216

It must have been an animation error. It happens.

  • @titantron1216

The episode where he did not have the stone hand was posted out of order. Between the episode where he got the stone hand and this one, Oven appeared only once, and he not only clearly had it, he even used it in a fight.

  • Geez and I thought my family reunions were tough......eeesh -_-u

  • 1:10 Anubis laughs

Never thought I'd see a god of the dead laugh, its kinda creepy and not at the same time.

  • @ChasoGod Not only that but it looks kind of cute (animation wise) o.O

  • 2:10 So as much as I'd love to watch you two kill each other don't break my stuff

  • Ooh ooh, I know what's going to happen. Very nice plot development, Gargoyles!

  • WTF ANUBIS the god of life, death, and judgment... Is obeying the lord of FAIRIES... how does that work and ODIN too O.o... or the various other gods in the room

  • At 0:35

I see a centaur, Anubis, a giant, a fairy-lady with white hair, and...wait a minute who the hell is the guy wearing modern clothes?

(o__O") He seems soooooooooo out of place there! LOL XD

  • @misukiyuki

He is coyote. Check a few episodes back to find out.

  • That's right kids, Xanatos and Fox had sex.

  • why is Odin, ALLFATHER, a child of Oberon? and Anubis and Anansi? poor choices. who's next? Zeus? Krishna? Baal?

  • @TheTricycleDriveby Because in this mythos, he's a regulatory figure to the other mythological beings -- which makes him dominant.

  • wow could the sisters say Puck's name with more hatred?

  • @DarknessInside12 Makes ya wonder what he did to make them hate him so.

  • "Stay put this wont take long"...Sadly its Manhatten, filled with Gargoyles, and well...yea a simple task turns into a tedious fourteen week long task.......

  • 0:42 Hey look, it's Darkwing Duck in human form.

  • I get the impression the weird sisters don't like puck.

  • was raven in street clothes?

  • this show make me think jogging in Manhatten (sorry for spelling) is very interesting.

  • Haha! random jogger guy!

  • 2:57: What's up with the hand gesture when talking about Titania? Is she a Longhorns fan, a Satanist....?

  • Anastasia say how the child has so much potential and Xanatos looks at her like, Bitch what yo angle

  • i forgot anastasia is queen tatania

  • 2:58 Funny hand signals when the Weird Sister is talking about Titania.

  • Should we know the person that steps off just before Odin? I assume we're not supposed to recognize all of the characters in line, but quite a few are in other eps.

  • @newguy33X Weisman names him as 'Naught'...and gives little else about him.

  • Since when were Anubis and Odin children of the fairy king? Faeries don`t even exist in Egyptian mythology! Oh man.... I guess this is where a child`s bliss becomes the greatest tool a story teller has because if I didn`t already love this show from when I was a kid, I`d think it a joke.

  • @IsolationInstigation They aren't Oberon real children. He just rules them in a fatherly fashion. He and Titania have had two unnamed children. But no Odin or Puck aren't their real children. Its just the manner he reigns over them is all.

  • @IsolationInstigation Since Oberon overthrew his mother, Queen Mab, as Lord of all the Third Race. You know...the lost race, Gargoyles, Humans, and Oberon's children...in that order. Oberon's children are the most recent, but immortal...interesting. So saeth Weisman!

  • @newguy33X

whos the lost race? the olympians?

  • @joker70784 No, in Weisman's "Gargoyles" world (show, comics, online forums, stuff he has planned out in his mind and hints at), the Lost Race is some mysterious first race of very intelligent beings. They predate all others already mentioned. Gargoyles pop up sometime later, then Humans, and Oberon's children (although basically individually immortal from the time they come into the world) are actually the youngest of the very intelligent races.

  • @joker70784 Oh, and the "Lost Race" is long dead, maybe very, very long as they predate Gargoyles, which predate Humans in this fictional world. But there's overlap between Gargoyls, Humans, and Oberon's children, so maybe they could have been around in the early pre-history of man. I don't know. Look up Greg Weisman forum or something like that. There's tons of mythology he wants/wanted to use, "everything is real" was his idea on that...every mythological being, he has ideas for the future

  • @IsolationInstigation Hadly a joke. They decided to have one unifying force for all the magical creatures. As they are huge Shakesperian fans so they took dominance.

  • WTF did i just see FONZIE {HEEEEEEYYYYY!!!} as part of Oberon's children?!!

  • @albhwa See the Cloud Father episode.

  • Hold, on. Elisa's parents know about Avalon, but they haven't told Matt so he could tell the rest of the clan?

  • Xanatos has a son! A second potential evil genius!

    DDDDD:

  • LORD OBERON, Ruler of all Avalon!!! I pledge my loyalty to you.

  • Owen/Puck was enjoying that introduction waaaaaaay too much. XD

  • The comments are sometimes just as entertaining as the video itself :D

  • aroung 6:28, AW he's so cute! just a perfect little boy! ...why is he blonde? *all turn and stare at Owen (the only blonde guy there)*

  • @margretlle1 The kid is not blonde, its orange hair like fox. Just little lighter shade since he was just born, it'll grow later.

  • @margretlle1 His hair gets redder as he gets older.

  • omg now i get how the wife/elf is in a episode concering golliath and alexander

  • So, I still don't get the Gathering; was it a family reunion meant to last a few centuries before letting all the Children go back to the real world, a chance for everyone to worship their Lord, or did everyone have to go back to Avalon and stay forever?

  • I am so glad xanathos' dad asked if they were related.

  • @Itsallover57

    I always thought they were.

  • vogul is an unscrupulous prick, owen is awsome

  • I LOVE PUCK OWEN'S EXPRESSION

  • Huh, anyone else figure out why Oberon gets all mad when Thor almost crashes into the mirror, but before he was cheering on their fight?

  • @yaoidreamer Demona smashed the mirror's twin; it's the only one of its kind left.

  • @ztslovebird ...Yet another reason to hate her. I feel sorry for Siren, she doesn't want to be there and then gets her mouth sealed shut.

  • @yaoidreamer She's technically the Irish Banchee....not the ancient Greek Siren(s).

  • @newguy33X Wait, there's diffrent types?! Shit, now I must make like Uncle and DO RESEARCH!

  • Damn, I could watch these immortals hang out all day. Why didn't this get it's own spinoff show?

  • Banshee is such an annoying bitch

  • Oberon's a dick.

  • lol..."budika come"... epic.

  • I love Puck =3

  • "Stay put, this wont take long" little does he know this is only part 1, lol

  • 5:00 to 5:08..... wasnt really talking was it it was more like the sims language lol

  • ...so, the kid's the decendent of a Fairy Queen and has Xanatos for a father? Crap, we're all gonna die.

  • Wow, this is like cartoon Mugen!

  • i always love it when people dump there drink after they see somthing, it juz never gets old.

  • How to shut up a Banshee: Metal plate on the mouth. >.> Wish we had those in Fable...

  • Sorry but i cant keep my mouth shut any longer....but some one is puck....

  • @69Mikage shh

  • I always thought Vogel was Owen in disguise to sabotage Renard's air ship

  • Oberon makes a hot silver daddy in his human form, lol

  • Odin bows to nobody!!!

  • If they are all called OBERON'S children, then who are all of their mothers?

  • @ztslovebird The name is merely that, a name. Oberon has only two children. At least only two with Titania.

  • @timemonkey Then why call the rest his Children? They had to get their magic from SOMEWHERE! And who are his children with Titania?

  • @ztslovebird Becase he feels paternal towards them, they're HIS people so he views them as HIS children. That's the explanation I rememer anyway. The Third Race were born from Avalon, which itself is inherently magical, hat's where their power comes from. I don't know what their names are, they never appeared on the shuow.

  • @timemonkey then who are the two

  • @Sunny4434 I don't know, the creator didn't say when asked. They never appear on the show.

  • Peaceful! Is Puck on crack?! This is a collection of some of the most egotistical powerhouses on earth! I'd be shocked if there wasn't some attempted murder or at least a beat down everyday!

  • What sane person jogs in Central Park at night....

  • Too bad the gargoyles that are on Avolan couldn't return to live with Goliath and his clan in Manhattan.

  • @orlandobabe They didn't want to; only Angela wanted to leave.

  • @ztslovebird Too bad then there wouldn't be any competition over Angela's affections.

  • @orlandobabe Think of it this way; what's the fun of giving the Trio each a new girl? It all works out too perfectly. This way, we get to see some ACTION!

  • 0:41, Is that the Phantom Stranger from DC comics?

  • @RexBlazer1 His name is Nought. He's the God of Nothing.

  • Oberon is totally badass

  • what? the two Owens finally meet and they don't make out with eachother?

    I am very very disapointed

  • @kishichanX3OK THREE WORDS I LOVE YOU

  • Are you serious - a norse god is paying omage to the fairy king???? I do so dearly love this show, but there are some things in it that really make me cringe.

  • @Carlosperen Well the fairies are believed to be older Celtic gods that were bashed by Christianity and warped into fairy tales. And the Norns, which Odin most certainly did respect and were more powerful, were fates, just as the fae are fates. Being a fate is a pretty big thing.

  • @Carlosperen they explained that a long time ago in the show, all the gods, spirits, and monsters of mythology are children of Oberon.

  • @Carlosperen And an Egyptian god as well... I get the idea that most of the beings from mythology in this series are Faries.

  • @Carlosperen Oberon overthrew his mother, Queen Mab, and so gets the adoration of the other fae folk. So saeth Weisman.

  • @Carlosperen That's because, according to Greg Weismen, things work a little different in "Gargoyles" universe. Here, Odin was never an actual God, just another magical being of incredible power such as the others "Oberon's Childs". But in spite of being called "a god" by the vikings, this Odin was never more powerfull than the king of his race, Oberon.

  • @Carlosperen well Anubis was there too so it's not just the Norse ones paying homage but others as well :/

  • @Carlosperen well Anubis was there too so it's not just the Norse ones paying homage but others as well :/

  • @Carlosperen i think in this universe all creatures of myth and magic originated from Oberon. So Odin may not really be a god as such, but a splinter race of the Faerie kingdom. He probably just calls himself a god since he's more powerful than humans at least :s

  • I found the expression on the jogger's face hilarious after Oberon and Boudicca stepped out of the portal at 6:02! It was even funnier after he emptied the rest his sport's drink on the ground like "I've got to stop drinking this."!

  • This is ridiculous! Gods from other nations should NOT be classified as Oberon's children!

  • @ztslovebird I agree, but I think Weisman did this to show diversity in the Gargoyles Universe so he incorporated the Gods and Goddesses of other cultures under the same roof as a sort of "Religious Justice League", if you will, as if to say that all the world's relgions are tied in with each other with the pantheons of each working together for a common goal. Odd? Yes. Outrageous? Oh yeah. But very interesting and entertaining to consider.

  • @SuperSaiyanVegetable That's a cool way to look at it! Much nicer than mine. And from that perspective, it could be assumed that Oberon is the equivilent of God in the Gargoyles universe (which, if it were true in the real universe, would make SO much sense!!)!

  • @ztslovebird Why not? How else are you going to explain multiple pantheons? It worked for Xena. Anyway, they're only "gods" in the sense that their magic made them appear as such to primitive cultures thus forming each pantheon. In some cases, the Children (not to be taken literally in each and every case) were the basis for the myth. In others, they simply stepped into an already existing role and posed as such. The 3rd Race was Weisman's way of keeping the show's mantra: All Things Are True.

  • wait since when can odin use thunderbolts :OOOO

  • @eeeXXXyyyy Simply put, he can't nor could he ever. It seems they combined the All Father with with the Thunderer. If they were trying to compare Odin to Zeus, that's a tragedy because they're from two completely different pantheons and though both may have some common traits (i.e. both had rendezvous's with many women, both mortal and immortal, both had many children, both were masters of their domain, both were quite powerful), their powers were nothing alike.

  • I love Boudicca! She's so cute!

  • Anubis DARED laugh at the bean sidhe!

  • This is an outrage to all of mythology. I mean, one thing is making all the other episodes fit into this, but... THERE WERE SEVERAL GODS THERE, FOR CHRISTS' SAKE!

  • @whotookCheesusChrist I think the point is that all the gods in the series are Oberon's Children.

  • @whotookCheesusChrist RIGHT? I had to force myself to laugh through the fact that I was srsly P-Oed. Did anyone else see Rorschach? 0:43 I peeeeeeeed in my pants! Medusa hanging around drinking cocktails on the balcony? I mean come on...didn't ANYONE at Disney raise their hand during the pitch meeting and say that this is a tad STUPID? xD

  • @thekatrid Now that you mention it, who the heck WAS that guy in a suit? Did Mandrake decide to dress up and mask himself and then go pop in for a visit or is Rorschach an elf?

If I were told that I was supposed to animate this, I think that I at least would've stopped drawing and say:

"Wait, what was I to make again?"

  • @whotookCheesusChrist He was a character that Weisman never got a chance to use. His name was Nought, and he was, basically, the god of Nothing.

  • 0:43 Was that supposed to be the Phantom of the Opera or something?

  • @NekoHybrid He was a character that Weisman never got a chance to do anything with. His name was Nought, and he was, quite simply, the god of Nothing.

  • "Are you two related?"

Looks like we're not the only ones that think those two look alike.

  • Aw, that poor Central Park runner guy.

  • I have a question, what episode has Goliath has a human, practically living a happy life with Elisa but the clan (i think) turns bad or the humans at least flee from them when they show up?

  • @yamiyugifangirl The Episode is of the Goliath Chronicles it is called "For it May Come True"

  • @vlad4: Thanks =3

  • @CrunkAddict I 2ND THAT!!!!!!!! BITCH BE ON A YEAR ROUND MENSTRAL PERIOD

  • So, his son's going to be called Xander Xanatos?

  • Dude Owen Freaked out O_o Thats definitely NOT normal. It must be bad. Hes never freaked out before doing all of Xanatoes deadly tests and dirty work.

  • I never saw this episode. For some reason Disney never showed this on UK TV -_-

Thanks to you and the internet I can watch it :D

  • What? No one else goes walking in their giant cape with their demon dog?

  • haha finally someone shut that witch up! Kudos!

  • yup, no ones going to recognize THAT walking down the street...

  • My favorite arc in the whole series. The fairies and gods in Gargoyles are the best.

  • Now I know why we had to watch the last twenty episodes, it was to lead up to this, coulda just summed it up in one episode tho

  • @robyndeannejanes How? It's better knowing all the backstories. Otherwise you wouldn't care about the storyline.

  • Does that jogger run all day and night?

  • Jeez, if this is what a simple family reunion is like, I'd hate to imagine the holidays!

  • lol@ the jogger

"I gotta taking whiskey with me on my jobs."
