I came here looking for instructions on giving my girlfriend an abortion. This did not help at all. We have to kill the baby before she has to give birth which is only 2 months away and her parents still don't know.

There IS a difference. Abortion is illegal when, as Roe Vs. Wade states, "The baby is fit to live outside the womb". But most states have put more restrictions on that, so the baby maybe like 6 inches long TOPS.

Well, I think that the problem is that we do perceive the fetus as a person. It's made of human sperm, and human egg, there's no point when it's not human, it's just at a different point of development. We have definitions of what qualifies as human.
I don't see any important difference between killing a fetus, a newborn, a toddler, or an elderly person. As for independent life, we're all inter-dependent, your logic is flawed.

@MoncaAhwen How does it not have independent life? After 6 weeks it has a beating heart. If you cut the umbilical cord, that heart will still beat on its own for a small amount of time. There is definitely independent life in that small person. If a human requires external oxygen to survive, or a dialysis machine, does that mean their life is no longer independent?

In the United States alone, there are over 500,000 children in the foster care system in desparate need of homes. Much more around the world are stuffed in orphanages or on the street. Where are these families desperate to adopt? Or are they just on the waitlist for perfect white, non-disabled newborns?

Also, people have thoughts, memories, opinions, feelings, ect. They are also not attached to and inside of other people. I don't see any important difference between killing a fetus, a newborn, a toddler, or an elderly person. As for independent life, we're all inter-dependent, your logic is flawed.

There is definitely independent life in that small person. If a human requires external oxygen to survive, or a dialysis machine, does that mean their life is no longer independent?

@bmarcoccia Actually, yes technically. If someone is on "Life Support", that means they are not capable of surviving independently, therefore, it is left up to someone else's discretion to decide whether or not that person lives or dies...kind of like abortion.

@MoncaAhwen So, let's say a 5 year old boy had diabetes. Otherwise he is fully functional. His body requires insulin injections to function. Without said injections, he will die. What you are saying is that it is ethically and morally correct for someone, be it a parent, doctor, gaurdian, etc., for whatever reason (inconvience, cost, etc.) to make the decision to end his life. Correct?

@MoncaAhwen Okay then, if that was the case when the baby is just born OUT of the mothers stomach it does not have an independent life yet, but if that mother was to take a tool and stab its head (one the of the methods of abortion) that mother would be charged for MUDERING. Just because it doesnt have a life YET doesnt mean it cant MAKE ONE FOR ITSELF, but it will never have that option since you aborted it. Especially now there is birthcontrol and condoms!
