OMG i love Jack Johnson...i also love the second song..cant rightly remember who its by though...and David Crowder i believe also =)....Alaska looks like such an awesome place. i hope to go there some time.
Better wild game flavor can not be found! The first time we flattened a small, thick steak to about 1/4 inch with a hammer then flash fried them in oil as hot as we could get without burning the oil...just about a minute on each side. My uncle made some sort of wine sauce with half & half. Delicious!
caribou, elk, and moose are probably the greatest wildgame redmeat that has ever been created on this earth. caribou is great with any sauce, and perfect for any dining.
Depends on where you're at. In the Dalton Hwy controlled use corridor, you have to be 5 miles off the road on either side unless you're hunting with a bow.
Brinella- were you on the Dalton Hwy corridor? I have hunted within 3 miles of the road over near the Tok Junction and Tok cut off ( but didn't see anything till about 4miles in).
Before you begin a debate of the relative merits of hunting v. not, stop. Respect my space. Such comments do not belong here. This post was humbly created because I was late getting my brother his birthday present, a video of our hunt. I wanted to show him what was promised "in the mail."
If you really want to know why hunters hunt, use the "send message" link. I'll be honest. Otherwise, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.
I live here in Alaska, and I hunt moose about 10 mile radius from my house. I haven't gotten anything yet, but I just bought my Winchester M70 30/06 last fall :P.
grew up in AK and plan to go back and do a caribou hunt with my fam on the hall road. Looks like a great trip. Great song selection. Where was this?

How far off of the road did you have to go to get your caribou?

If I recall correctly, law requires rifle hunting be farther than 5 miles from a road. We were between 8 and 12.
