  • What movie is the knife throwing scene from? Please and thank you. Great video, btw.

  • @Natejitsu

    Thank you.

This scene 2:51 is taken from the first Sabata film.

  • @Wanderlink

What the fuck are you takling about?

Go Australia and fuck with dolphins!

  • Lee Van Cleef was a famous dolphin right?

  • Lee's been dead for 23 years, but Chuck Norris still checks under his bed each night... just in case.

  • 2:53 Oh shit, he killed Willy Wonka! :)

  • I read your comments on someone elses 95% ncopy and came to see the original. Respect to you.

  • @planetrockford

    Thank you very much :-)

  • I'll give you that. I'd hate to run into a character looking like that ... with my back turned.

  • Methodical, composed, vicious...what is there not to love about Lee Van Cleef

  • Where's 1:41 from?

  • @calendanime

It's from the extended version of The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

  • @GroggyWantsToFly BTW, the scene at 1:41 was always in the Italian and Spanish versions we saw over in Europe in the 60's while in the Navy. United Artists ruled the film was TOO LONG for it's release in the US. UA paid for part of the film with P. E. A. Rome so they ordered Leone to cut it down & that scene was one that was removed. Leone was very angry & upset about having to cut his film for English release according to Eli Wallach interview. DVD is the full film in english.

  • @GroggyWantsToFly Also according to my count, Lee Van Cleef was in 85 films (3 were made for TV) and 149 episodes of various TV shows and the public first saw him in May of 1952 on TV in Space Patrol. His first film was High Noon later that year. Other TV shows include The Medic where Lee plays a doctor! In My Mother the Car he played a lawyer. But most often Lee was a bad guy in shows such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Have Gun Will Travel, The Lawman etc.

  • Let's hear the gun fire, makes huge difference in climatic scenes

  • what a great song

  • trop beau ça tête de bandit

  • Excellent tribute, Groggy. Bravo!

  • Lee Van Cleef was one the best western actors ever! He had "perfect" face for a bad guy.

  • what this music in minutes 2:10 & 5:07

  • @james30005

The first music is Adios Sabata by Bruno Nicolai.

The second one which begins at 2:10 is Two Mules for Sister Sara by Ennio Morricone.

The third one at 5:07 is The Grand Duel (Parte Prima), composed by Luis Bacalov.

It's written in the description box of the clip :-)

  • @GroggyWantsToFly thank u amigo

  • Respond to this video... this music belong to which films?

  • original badd ass

  • What is :37 from?

    P.S. Lee is extremely hot.

  • Perfect just Perfect

  • Make sure you guys check out day of anger, high noon, and death rides a horse to begin with if you haven't seen lee van cleef outside of his work in TGTBTU yet

  • ...Gracias Señor Lee Van Cliff...eres un semidios...

  • Lee van Cleef forever!!!!!

  • I love you so hard for making this epic video of THE best, the one and only, Lee Van Cleef.

  • A fistful of great memories! :) Thank you very much, great tribute to Lee van Cleef!

  • What is it about Van Cleef as Angel Eyes in Good Bad and Ugly that makes him look so evil? Mortimer and most of his other later roles make him look like the kind of guy you don't mess with but Angel Eyes is pure evil.

Not only is it attitude but I think it's the fact that his mustache is trimmed differently and black instead of salt and pepper.

"When I'm paid I always see the job through!"

  • Frikkin' awesome!

    Outstanding editing job!

Van Cleef was and still is my western hero!

You can have Wayne, Eastwood, the bunch, just give me Van Cleef!

Why Two Mules for Sister Sara though?

  • You did a great job I really enjoyed it and the music suits perfectly to the video.

    Greetings

  • REALY LOVE IT

    THX 4UPLOAD

  • He was born to do western movie

  • Thank you very much for this creation !

I love Lee Van Cleef !

    GREAT

  • Beautiful tribute to a wonderful actor!

  • any1 know wot the first song is please?

  • It's easy to see why he received the nickname of "Angel Eyes." Such a wonderful villain.

  • Thank you for LEE VAN CLEEF !

  • He has to be the most memorable actor in all the spaghetti westerns I have seen. He could be the good guy or the bad guy easily.

  • I'd be twice the man I am if I'd had Van Cleef as a father.

  • This is an amazing video.

  • The man with the gunsight eyes!!

  • @3:23 -' the stare' of stares from High Noon. A chilling glance. Nice touch, also, to add the bombed out fort scene, from the restored version of GBU - adds color to Angel Eye's character. The Grand duel choice, is my favorite spaghetti western theme (almost).

  • Thank you very much for your part of movie !

  • The climactic duel in For a Few Dollars More is my absolute favourite, because it is so emotionally charged. Lee Van Cleef even outshone Clint Eastwood in that movie.

  • @Sanaryelle that was a great scene same as the good the bad and the ugly i did not know what was gonna happen

  • the baddessss in western films sabbaaaaattaaaaaaaaa

  • twenty years already !!!!!

you mean the baddist in western film

  • Today, 20 years ago Lee Van Cleef died. God bless him

Great video and great tribute to best "bad man" in western ever!

  • hey where can i find the same version for the ennio morricone song that you have in your video. i tried looking but can only find the remastered and slow version, they sound all new. i want this version. sounds really gritty and weird i love it, where can i find it?

  • un genio!!! a genius!

  • He was the perfect Angel of Death

  • I first watched LVC at an impressionalble age, I guess. Still in love with him, those eyes, the voice, the camera loves him from every angle. There really hasn't been another actor that has been able to do a part as well as he could. He was truly a natural.

  • Nice selection of music ..good Job =)

  • 2:57 - 3:08

    Greatest kill ever.

  • LEE WAS THE BEST GUY FOR THE PART MAN.

  • What is the movie where he shoots the guy with a monocle at the end?

  • The Big Gundown

  • Great songs :) excellent acting roles by Lee Van Cleef

  • Great job & fine selection of music and scenes in tribute to the man with the riveting eyes. When he's on screen, I can't take my eyes off him. Thanks!

  • Excellent!!!!!!! Impressive job!.....

  • Bravo! ... :D

  • Excellent compilation with soundtrack to match. Good job!

  • SUPER set of scenes of a SUPER bad guy. This one goes in my favorites!

What was the movie in the first half of the clips where he was a young man and barely had a mustache?

    THANK-YOU enjoy immensely!

  • Great actor.Fantastic clips.5*

  • Oh Great Lee Van Cleef. Once thought of someone to play Saito, he'd be the closest in personality and modus operandi

  • Words out you had a visitor? its a tidy sum ...some in gold

  • How i still miss him.lol

  • Whats the movie at 1:41?

  • Unless I miss my guess, it's one of the deleted scenes that ended up on the cutting room floor from "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly".

  • Favorited! What an amazing tribute to one of my favorite actors of all time.

  • perfect tribute

  • Great selection of film clips, thanks for sharing with us, atb Phil :-)

  • What's the name of that movie were he's really young that plays at 3:51 to 4:02 on this tribute?

  • The movie is High Noon from 1952, starring Garry Cooper and Grace Kelly :-)

  • @GroggyWantsToFly

Bravo, Lee merita anche lui il giusto tributo !

  • @GroggyWantsToFly

what's the name of film which belong to this music?

  • @XxDregonxX PROB HIS 1ST SUCCESSFUL MOVIE

  • Wonderful tribute, thanks!

  • Nobody has a cooler dismount from a horse than Van Cleef.

  • I agree. I mist theese movies.

  • Most enjoyable.

A great actor, and a wonderful trubute.

    Many thanks for this.

  • superb choice of music and editing!Lee van cleef will always be angeleyes!(GOOD BAD N UGLY) respect to Groggy on a par with bronson in once upon atime in the west chrisw

  • Brilliant track choice!

  • Excellent video

  • I think that was stupendous editing! I really enjoyed it. Even though HYWT didn't approve of the addition of the song, I think it fit this video clip so well. You really worked hard for this and I think you get a big fat 10/10 for effort! Very creative and fun to watch. I'm sharing this with my friends.

  • Thanks for your kind compliments! I'm glad you like it :-)

  • Like Clint Eastwood said in the end of this video , BRAVOOO

  • Excellent.

  • Just amazing collection of scenes! I'd like to see him honoured post hum with that kind of video at the Acadmy Awards ceremony.

He's been the greatest of them all!

  • Buen video y tremendo actorazo!

Uno de los grandes prototipos del recio gunfighter americano.

  • Actors with so much character like Lee Van Cleef only come once in a hundred years.Unfortunately most of todays actors are too much clean-cut or feminine to play in westerns like those of Leone.

Excellent clip,i loved your music and scene choices!I think he would have loved it had he seen it.

  • Thanks!

You've summed up my thoughts perfectly about LVC.

  • @Ayon1975 man your right about that johnny django kline

  • @Ayon1975 You would have liked him as a person,He lived in the town where I grew up and I had the chance to speak with him in a mall in Oxnard Ca where he was a regular. He was a grade A guy and could laugh and make you laugh. I'll never forget my meeting him.

  • @Hardcorediver44

Thanks for sharing your story. LVC, what a class act :-)

  • @Hardcorediver44

That's awesome man!I wish i was able to meet him if only once to tell him how much myself and even my parents liked him.I think that only an actor who has the gift to appeal to so different generations can be called timeless and classic.I wish actors like him and Clint could live forever. But in a way they will.

  • @Ayon1975 I've always said give Clooney a few more years and he could do a decent western.

  • @TheBebop51 I think G.Clooney would fit more in a William Wyler styled western than a Leone one...In a role similar to the one Gregory Peck had in The Big Country.

  • Great collection of scenes and wonderful music choice. Lee van Cleef was the best Spaghetti Western star of them all.

I don't know why you used "Two Mules for Sister Sara," though. He wasn't in that movie and there are better songs used in his films.

  • Thank you.

Yes I agree, LVC was the best.

Regarding the choice of songs in the tribute - well, I used music which I thought was fitting for the atmosphere I was trying to create. It wasn't relevant to me whether or not the songs were taken from LVC's films. Moreover, I wanted to avoid the use of too much music taken from LVC's movies as I didn't want to make associations to scenes from those films. I wanted to make an Identity for my clip :-)

  • Superb! Can anyone tell me what film the first track of music is from?

  • Thanks!

The Song is Adios Sabata (Main theme) - by Bruno Nicolai .Yul brynner Stars in the second Sabata instead of LVC :-)

  • thanks

  • thank you this is incredible!! Good job AT LEAST :-))) Valerie

  • Awesome! Made it my favorite! Really held up his legacy! Thanks for making a great LVC video that shows his acting and riding and shooting prowess!
