it was actually a Casio Pathfinder that was give to me. As it turns out, I really like it. Had it for 4 years, no batteries needed, solar powered, comfortable.
@ProGuidingService Thanks for the reply. I recently purchased a Pathfinder and have been enjoying it ever since. Very accurate barometer/compass and a relatively accurate altimeter if calibrations are made...loving the solar power, too!
the bag was an old Marmot 20 degree bag. It was 800 fill down. If the bag had been newer, a 30 degree bag would have been fine as well. In the middle of the winter I generally take a zero degree bag, also 800 fill. Sleeping well is important
Thanks! Could you also elaborate a bit on your choice of sleeping bag. It looks really compact. What type is it and what would your recommendation be for the colder more extreme winter trips.
Hi there. The tent is an MSR Carbon 2. It is truly impressive. Though not 4 season, it is a double wall tent with two vestibules. When rigged properly, it should be good for winter camping as well. Stay away from super exposed high wind camps.
Yes, I believe that the harness is adequate for mountaineering, where one does not expect big dynamic falls.
Hey, great videos! I would be interested to know the type of MSR tent and sleeping bag are you using. Is the tent sufficient for winter camping for you too? I can see you're using the BD Couloir harness. Is it safe enough for climbing and mountaineering?
Nice video, but I wonder what kind of climbs you do with that rope - 40m is pretty short. In in the Eastern Alps 50m is standard. Is it a single or double rope? 9 mm is pretty thin ...
That was a really small rack! Was that like 2 cams and 3 nuts? :) What type of route are you climbing with a rack that small?

Very impressive. I spent my first season in the mountains last year and I can tell you I packed way too much after watching this!

I did have some light water proof pants (OR Foray), glove shell and jacket in a little bag there in the video.
Just sleep in the long underwear top and bottom
