Nonetheless if China was to cut trade routes, the Western world would suffer grately, but China really can't risk attracting that much controversy...

I think the only reason why the military has such a stronghold on the government and people is because they are seriously afraid that democracy will open the doors for other countries, especially western countries, to exploit their resources. @xxxdieselyyy not as straightforward in my opinion man... although the Myanmar soldiers have witnessed more atrocities and are most certainly more battle hardened, they're very limited in actual training compared to the Green Berets, SAS of Britain (they'd get involved) and generally most of the allied force. Nonetheless if China was to cut trade routes, the Western world would suffer grately, but China really can't risk attracting that much controversy...

@JimmyMillionare they already have expressed a concern and dislike for the current regime so they're not going to go all in rather than provide limited support for Burma. Trust man if the Allied got involved, due to superior technology and in many cases superb military training they can easily match Burma once China begins to limit it's involvement for the sake of diplomacy.

I think the only reason why the military has such a stronghold on the government and people is because they are seriously afraid that democracy will open the doors for other countries, especially western countries, to exploit their resources. Myanmar has huge resources. This I can understand that to a certain extent, however, the extreme poverty and deprivation of its people is not good. However, Myanmar officials at the border are very kind and I wish the best for this country and its people.
