I remember reading Wastelands when it came out, and the ZZ Top reference. It was a song I had never heard of, and I have nearly all of their albums. The lyrics quoted in the book were so cheesy, I simply assumed it was a fictional song title, like the one in The Stand. So as I reread Wastelands today, I decided to google it. Brought me here.
