hey man. previously had a 2000 gp but got hit by a car nd it was wrecked. I got a grand am now to try something different and the first thing i want to do is make the ram air hood functional. i saw that at .41 it looked like you had something u would mount to the bottom of hood to channel the air to the air box? probably a stupid question but if you could fill me in a little about it id appreciate it. thanks..

@baseballstud294 the ram air hoods for the grand am dont really channel the air into the filter, its more for looks, sorry

dude i got pretty much the same car. only its a 99 and a 2 door. and my interier is all gray. i love the black one you got. plus its a fun ass car to drive. but watch it. automatic transmission is real funny. mine just started slipping in first gear when it warms up. gonna get it fixed here soon. so if i were you i wouldn't drive the piss outta it to much. i think my transmission is giving out cuz of age. but who knows. anyway cool car man. id keep it if i were you. they're good cars.

Yeah I have heard that a lot about grand am's. What r you getting done to the transmission?

its fine now. what i think happened was the previous owner before my dad never had the trans fluid changed. and obviously your susposed to have it done every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. and i had it done at about 111,000. i think when the new fluid came through it knocked some of the dirt that was in there up into the system and it worked itself out. now it runs perfect and im at 112,109 miles. i even put it to the floor and it did what it was susposed to do. lol.

yeah i haven't changed mine yet and I am at 53,000... so i guess i should do that soon.

funny thing happened i bought a gt 04 the other day mines 2 door though and it only had 12k miles lol. old lady didn't drive it at all. anyway your is not bad you getting any rims?
