they take the original and mess about with the pitch/frequecy with music editing software.

thereticaly you could have any song in the world but some will sound better then others for fairly obvous resons.

linkin park in quite good for the job due to the low notes in the guitars so as a resault, you dont loose as much of the sound. The leed singer also has a pritty good voice for alvin because of his pitch/frequency when he sings.
