I saw this tour when they came to Cincinnati. (Of course, Tori sang Upside Down; as to why you'll have to read the lyrics) The musical energy of these two women was incredible. Though they have different styles, Tori's energy comes from one point and spreads out whereas Alanis has an energy that is kinetic and comes at you from all sides. Highlights for me was "Waitress" from Tori and the always powerful, "Uninvited" from Alanis.

I WAS AT THIS CONCERT!!! IT WAS AMAZING! THE PEOPLE BEHIND ME WERE SMOKING POT! AND THE PEOPLE NEXT TO ME WERE TRYING TO PASS ME SOME BEER( i don't like beer). THE MOST AMAZING THING. ALANIS PLAYED THE FLUTE. TORI FUCKED UP THE BEGINNING OF A SONG AND THEN TURNED IT INTO A WHOLE NEW SONG. THIS IS IN CAPS CUZ IT WAS WONDERFUL!!

@renendell The only one I can think of is Bjork. They are both true artists who do not compromise their music for anything. I've also noticed that they both have the ability to write songs that are both happy, sad and mysterious all at the same time which is not easy to do.

i've noticed that alot of men that are attracted to these 'unconventional beauties' tend to be fans of their music. otherwise they usually say they are ugly, or in the case of Alanis, 'horse face'. personaly i'm not a fan of their music but i'd love to sleep with both of them, preferably at the same time. There's a whole website to prove to some idiots that Tori and Alanis do not hate each other. You will find quotes from both ladies on each other. Tori even writes about Alanis in her book and how important this tour was to her. Read it!

Now I love both Tori and Alanis. But these delusioned Toriphiles upset me when they trash Alanis. Atleast Alanis actually created two worthy albums this decade. Something Tori cannot say. Everything after TVAB was either average or really bad.

Tombigbee, Tori and Alanis are pretty close to the same age, within aabout 5 years. I like em both, but I like Tori much better. As far as looks go,Alanis is yoo skinny, Tori looks beautiful. I don't see contempt, had there been contempt why would Troi agree to it, makes no sense.Tori has not had that much plastic surgery, she tyalk as if she had the Joan Rivers treatment..I would love to see Troi ans Sarah McLachlan together, how beautiful that would be.

Not for Tori, she loathed Alanis. She said that Jagged Little Pill could only be heard by dogs off in the canyon because it's so screeching and annoying. You can tell in this video that Alanis is scared to death of Tori. And any minute Tori could yank the imaginary yolk that she has wrapped around Alanis's horse neck.

Naaa, I don't HATE Alanis. Besides, Alanis gets the last laugh with her horse teeth because Tori is pretty old now and messed up her whole face with plastic surgery. So Tori can't be so smug now, can she? I like some Alanis songs but Tori is a better musician. I don't think Alanis is trying to compare herself to Tori. I think that she actually looks up to Tori and admires her work, hence why she chose Tori to tour with her. Some are Tori fans, some are Alanis fans and some are fans of both. Comparison can't really be made since both women are original and create wonderful life-changing music :)

Maybe she should ask somenone like Ballard a little help in post production and arrangements. It seems like she's lost the inspiration. I don't know, just a thought.

Just for the Record Glen Ballard Only co-wrote 2 of Morissette's records. Alanis took over on the third and to date she has five albums out.

Yes, but the first two were such better than the others. Especially a masterpiece like SFIJ. URS were a very good album, SCC I thinks it's the worst 'till now, poor ideas and bad production. Her last work is significable instead! promising

@yancybutler He didn't even co-wrote them... He co-wrote like 2 or three songs in Jagged, and co-wrote the music... The rest is Alanis' work.
