The video script has an error in it. ..... "Thule AB was built in 1953". ..... Thule AB was built in 1951. ..... I should know I was stationed at Thule from Nov 1952 to Nov 1953 - USAF. ..... It is true, there was much on-going construction in the summer of 1953.

I know this from my time on TAB - And i saw Operation Blue Jay movie several time at my time at TAB.

I was stationed there from Dec. 93-Jan 95. Clearly one of the most memorable assignments I ever had!
Someday I'll get off my tush and convert all my VHS recordings of Thule into a format that I can upload to YT.

My dad was at Thule in the early to mid 50's. Big , tall guy. Hubert Rowland. Anyone ever heard of him?
