Roller jobs are okay if you wish to invest time instead of money.

Prep work is really important, and then make sure you lay enough paint down so you have a good margin for sanding and polishing.

I've seen roller jobs that look better than thousand dollar paint jobs, just because the owner took time to make it right,

oobuc5 ,uk / ok you wanna paint it on the cheap ,go down the hardware shop and get some pure white emulsion ,then buy some some od those tinter shade colours and mix up the colour you want ,prep the car,filter the paint through a stocking ,thin it then spray,let it dry for 2 days in the sun then get your clear lacqure and give it 3 coates, and bingo one paint job for short money !

these paintjobs come out great from what ive see, or at least when they put on 10 coats and wetsand it, the trick is to thin it properly and apply it thin, wetsand each coat, and it CAN be done with a water based paint, but you MUST clearcoat waterbased paints or hide the car from water :D

Actually you can do a very nice paint job for 50$ it's all about how many coats you apply and how well you can wet sand.

..exactly... the quality of a paint job is dependent on how much prep work goes into it. So rather then spending a week putting 12 coats of paint on a car you just spent a week prepping... just spend the extra $150 and spray some latex on the POS...

So that's how yall roll? lol. Hot Rod magazine did an article on how to paint a car with a roller brush. Now granted it was Single stage Enamle. They did have some cut and buffing to do to tone down the orange peel but the overall results were good.

Do not speak of what you don't know. I did this on my car. If you know what you're doing and do it right, it will turn out flawless. You just have to wetsand it after every 2 coats and buff/polish at the end. It'll look great.

Unfortunately I don't have any after pictures, as my friend finished it and sold the car shortly after.

It looked good from about 10 feet, but he was WAY to lazy and didn't no nearly the amount of prep work that I would have.

But with that being said, he only paid 500 bucks for the car so he really didn't want to invest to much time or effort into it to begin with.
