Down by a goal with three minutes left, Tyrell dumping the puck for a line change, and Mezaros squatted so low his forehead 'bout touched the ice. The added two minute "misconduct" was the equivalent of a Dinozzo slap for his bad judgement.

ive seen a clipping call once before, nice to see it pulled out today, dont know why he didnt just go shoulder to shoulder its not like mesj woulda gotten droped cus tyrel was offbalance after taking the shot, owell

he did go low though. Tyrell is small too if he his him in the knees, that means that Meszaros really went down low.

he got a penalty for "clipping" never heard of it but apparently if you purposely hit below the knees you get called... he also got another 2 mins for tripping

@MadMacanian clipping is basically when the ref thinks the player went to low for a hipcheck, i don't know any other situation where it would be called

no he got clipping and unsportsman like . the two minutes for clipping is the only right call here but clipping should be more than two minutes if he came from the other side and did a hip check thats one thing but thats is a hit that can hurt some body. of course that scrum (from where I was sitting) prob would have given philly the PP since so many guys from Tampa jumped into it. some from the bench. still dont know why the refs were so dumb to put the faceoff in the neutral zone
