  • Is everyone stupid??Blue Cross, what a monopoly against Americans! Helping doctors and hospitals getting rich in this "Rich and Poor society!"

  • We lucky americans are rated 37th in health care quality and 2nd in cost. Think about it. You are paying thru the nose and getting mediocre care.

  • Genius!! Very well done, y'all. I'm sharing this as far and wide as I can. Thank you!

  • American healthcare is the BEST in the world - NOT a "mess." There are problems - yes - but FAR FEWER than in ALL other countries, and those countries' systems are NOTHING WORTH FOLLOWING! FREE UP American healthcare! Get the gov't OUT of it! Go FOX News! You're doing a fantastic job getting REAL news out!

  • Are you serious?

  • Uh, we're actually 37th best in terms of healthcare. That is some REAL news Fox probably hasn't told their sheep.

  • @AmericaTops "All other countries?" I'm uncertain as to whether you're being a troll or really think that this kind of statement makes your argument. If you're trolling, then kudos to you. That was hilarious. If you're not, then you should ask your schools for a refund.

  • this video should get over a million views,

not some clown dancing in his/her bedroom

  • what the hell does gov run good can anybody tell me ? Do you like going to the DMV or the post office ?

Why do ppl think the gov is going to run healthcare better then those places . I want to know where you ppl get this idea gov can make everything better when all they do is mess things up

  • @jaay334: FYI most of the time you don't have to go to the post office. You just stick the mail outside your house and it gets magically whisked off to its destination. It arrives the same way via a postal clerk MAKING A HOUSE CALL. Pretty good service if you ask me. But, like you, many Americans don't even think about how convenient that is and would rather belly-ache about big gov. "All hail FOX News and the corporate takeover of America!" NOT!

  • look chumps,,ize NEEDS you to pay fo my HELF CAYA NOW...I needs da HELF CAYA fo me an my byotches wid all da kids be poppin out wid da drug an alcohol rehab an all man..jes gimmet all da money to da man fo da HELF CAYA...an smile when i told you dat man...It all be worf it man,,,all be worf it....

  • @hadenufnow

    LOL

This is a sad truth that some don't want to accept. There WILL be people who leech of the system...

  • Healthcare should be funded by the goverment for the same reason Roads and Schools are controled by goverment. It increases the workabilty of the citizins allowing more tax revenue

  • You're confusing the quality of care available with the system that provides it.

Quality is great if you have the money. If you don't, well, you're going to suffer.

  • god our health care system is so terrible. i wonder why presidents, prime ministers, european celebrities, etc etc etc come to the UNITED STATES FOR FUCKING HEALTH CARE!!!! we have the best health care in the world. thats why the world comes to the US. Obama wants to controll our lives and you people are just so blind. thank god for Scott Brown tea-bagging progressives!

  • @kameleonls1 There are 10 third world counties ahead of us in avg. life expectancy. Coke out sells pepsi, but loses taste tests 9/10 times..........oh the power of sales. I walked into a hospital last weak, walked out, no surgery, just took some pictures of a fractured femur. Sent me out with crutches and ace bandage. Total bill........$15,286.00 I will pay 5$/month for @ a year, until you, me and every other tax payer pays the bill, sweet system. You are a fucking idiot.

  • Yeah, sure it's great if you have the thousands and thousands of dollars to drop on the medical bills.

And I doubt the entire world comes to the US since according to the World Health Organization you're clocking in at number 37. I think the people in France, they're number one by the way, might prefer to stay there.

  • Ok, here is an example just to illustrate to some of you just how BAD the healthcare in the US is:

Imagine if the fire protection section weren't run by the state, but by private corporations, and you had to have fire insurance. Then when a fire breaks loose in your house or apartment, you call the fire brigade. And instead of come rushing to your aid, they ask you: Do you have any form of fire insurance? and if your answer is no, they deny you help, simply because you couldn't afford insurance

  • Amazing some of the viewpoints you Europeans have.

Nobody is denied care if they come into a hospital in a critical state. These claims of people being pushed out the door bleeding are pure BS.

  • That's true. And then if they can't pay for their procedures they're BANKRUPTED.

Would somebody please explain to me the American logic of refusing free, guaranteed healthcare? I'm in Canada, we have it and I wouldn't trade it for any crappy insurance company. Explain this to me!

  • I encourage whatever jackasses gave me a thumbs downs to speak up.

What matters is that they are alive. Why should I be expected to pay their bill? A European style health-care system in the United States simply will not work for reasons others could state far better than me. There are improvements we can make but we can't adopt the European/Canadian solution.

And I would rather have my tax dollars going to the defense of the nation.

  • Even though I do not agree with ReconTeam in principle, I agree with him here. Even though in the US there is no general legal duty to render aid to people in trouble, hopitals must treat emergencies, otherwise they would violate the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act from 1986. Look it up, it's actually very interesting when it comes to whether or not illegal aliens and non-citizens have a right to hospital treatment etc.

  • I live in Canada

We have a government sponsored universal health care plan (just like the rest of the Western world)

Yes, this is a form of socialism, but so is everything that is paid for by your tax dollars and open to all citizens of that country ex. the army, food stamps, national parks ect.

Your country is on the right path but you need to watch out for the Becks and Dobbs of the world who provide vague answers to health care and want the government out of absolutley everything.

  • @mntlPurple My Constitution gives Congress the responsibility to provide for a military. It doesnot give Congress the responsibility to provide for my health care. That is my responsibility and I find it insulting that someone else would pay to cover my medical expenses. I'm glad you enjoy your nanny state. I enjoy my liberty. Keep your socialized healthcare

  • hey cbsctomh i comletly agree with you ,BUT wood you buy a capy sandwitch incase you get hungry for 400$. most people who say yes are ether ritch crazy or both. now add on the fact that if you try to take more than one bite at a time (or a lot of smaller nibls) thay can take that months sandwitch away from you and never give you a new one... forever just cuzz your hungry. in sumery i agree with you but the wa thay are doing it is insane and a ripoff

  • Hey Gomer, in life there is no free lunch. If you think government is the answer you are really lost. My gosh, a young guy like you looking for someone else to pay for your responsibility. I'd be embarrassed to face the world and tell everyone that I want someone else to pay my way through life. You are PATHETIC!!!!!

  • The president may want to phase out private ins, but how do you do that? Maybe I don't understand, but that sounds like Target saying we would like to phase out Wal-mart over ten years. The government would give the private ins a run for their money.Remember, and like I said below I have Cancer. If all private ins companies can not turn anyone away, that means their pay outs are going to go though the roof. I don't see how they can do without raising rates to noone can afford it. thoughts anyone

  • That's like the entire state of massouri. That's like taking care of several million families. Also learn how Per capita works then notice the amount of people does not matter at all.

  • Make sure to remember that after you turn 65, so you can turn down medicare coverage.

  • My healthcare system was build at a time when we owed so much money away it was predicted it would take us 500 years to pay it back. So actually, you're wrong. National debt doesn't mean anything.

  • Sure we do, but you replyed not to my opinion but to a statement of fact, but do go on call fact an opinion then maybe if you do so long enough it won't matter any more.

  • It's not an opinion. it's knowlegde of a system that i have experience with and you don't

  • @obamabinbiden911

Government will only be 'in charge' of your Healthcare should you choose to use the Public Option.

It means the private insurance companies will still be there, but there would be a Public Option to choose from as well.

  • There is nothing wrong with universal healthcare. Even so that's not what the current bill is even suggesting.

  • See ya around town Greenwald,,,(Hint JLM)

  • And a public option isn't even a "government takeover" of the health insurance industry. It's just something that scares bloated for-profit health insurance companies to death:

    competition.

For the Republicans to oppose competition is the worst hypocrisy since Sarah Palin told the media not to slander people.

  • If anyone is curious about what "government health insurance" is like, ask your parents or grandparents because they're already on it. And it's fine, and they love it.

Medicare isn't a "government takeover" of anything. They go to private doctors and private hospitals.

  • Greewald turn your ratings on....

  • Free will to pay whatever the insurance monopoly charges is NOT free will it is NOT capitalism. I would assume from your post you are against capitalism and are for monopolies.

  • Funny most of these comments are word for word the exact same as posts on Yahoo Answers.

I guess defending the Inusrance Industry's profits over lives is employing some people to post these comments.

  • Andy's just bitter because Blue Cross decided to go in a different direction on the new marketing campaign. I suggest he move on to a career in government. It's an irresponsible, tax-driven monopoly and they're always looking for new douchebags. He'd fit right in.

  • VERY QUIETLY OBAMA'S CITIZENSHIP CASE REACHES SUPREME COURT Released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College . Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California.

  • HA! You get all your info from Orly Taitz?

  • We have a President who's skin color is different from yours GET OVER IT.

  • jblcva,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there ARE no Fulbright scholarships for Indonesian undergraduates and the case you're talking about NEVER REACHED the Supreme Court.

The e-mail you're getting the story from was a widely circulated hoax during the 2008 campaign which came out on April 1st. Get it?

The story was deemed False on Snopes . com.

    snopes . com/politics/obama/birthers/occidental.asp

  • and there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship, this is looking pretty grim. The news has

  • The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking. Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya

    (remove spaces)

  • "one step closer to losing more of my free will"

Another retarded consumer of corporate propaganda gives us what he is convinced is his own opinion.

  • that uy reminds me of Colbert

  • wow.... although funny very powerful.

  • You are so damn paranoid. We are the only western, FREE society that does not have universal care. Our life expectancy is years lower and our health problems are in much higher percentages. We're the ONLY country where people die 'cause they can't get coverage, or go broke trying to pay for treatments that it won't cover even if they need it. THAT is what this is about, not some big takeover of our lives. You buy into whatever hype Fox News throws out there don't you.

  • Yeah, and we produce almost all the latest drugs and treatements. Thats because it's for profit and that drives research and development. It's also helps motivate the brightest to go into medicine. If they are paid like public officials they will go into more lucrative fields. Look inside an English or Canadian Hospital and notice how dated the equipment is.

  • I work for the largest drug company in the world. I will tell you, yes we have to make a profit. How many people know that most alll drug companys have a patient asst program for people who cannot afford their meds. They would get their meds free sent to their doctor. Profit also goes back in to R&D. That why people are living longer, we are coming out with drugs they are keeping them alive and for most part they can still enjoy life. That is why I love what I do, maybe I am helping someone out.

  • @crisco80 Our European health care system is very simple, we give you the treatment that you need, not what you can afford.

  • @alexandreleverrier Uh, we do that in the US, too. Except we have enough of everything to go around, and nobody needlessly dying waiting in line.

Say, how's that European system doing these days? I heard something about riots breaking out because the government can't provide everything it promised, and the people can't fend for themselves anymore.

  • @pimpdalyrical I have no idea about where you get your news, but seriously I am shocked by the ignorance of your comment, especially after what I went through last week. I live in Paris, I broke my meniscus, I went to the Hospital and I was operated yesterday for 200 $ all for all (about 10 thousand dollars in your country). I'm saying this for your own good, you are being ripped off by corporate thugs and you read the news of people that work for them.

  • @alexandreleverrier

"about 10 thousand dollars in your country"

Um, it would cost me about the same out of pocket. I had my appendix taken out and a cost to me of only $300.00

We have these things called insurance companies, that keep the cost at time of need down, but the business of medicine still profitable. That's why we have doctors worthy of having swimming pools and cars, and yours aren't.

  • @pimpdalyrical What can I say to such an ignorant fool like yourself, our doctors live in condos ? Is that what you think ? I don't know where you live but just stay there and don't move. I lived in the states and in France 50/50 and I'm 33, doctors in France make just as much money as doctors in US, you really need to pull your head of your ass, you got a lot coming to you.

    good luck

  • @pimpdalyrical you heard on Fox news (organization payed by insurance cie to lie for them), you can say what you want about us, but in France, unlike you, we, the people, control our government.

the people should never be afraid of their government.

its The government that should be afraid of the people.

  • @pimpdalyrical Totally unrelated, how did they operate your appendix ?

  • @alexandreleverrier

Um.. the french government is a republic just like ours, except we don't let professional politicians control our personal decisions. You might want to look into all the perfectly good, beneficial medicines you can't get, just because the right palm hasn't been greased. Here, the people can vote with their wallet.

My appendix was taken out orthoscopically. Three little slits around the abdomen, no sitches even.

  • @pimpdalyrical We have a very simple policy for health care, we give you what you need, not what you can buy. It's very frustrating to hear such bull shit, in France we saw a video of a black woman dying on CCTV in a New York hospital because no one took care of her, please, don't take this like an attack, I just want you to realize that people in your country deny health care to people so that they can build a new swimming pool in one of their mansions.

  • @alexandreleverrier

" we give you what you need"

No, you get what they can afford, which isn't much. That's why our medical tourism trade is soo much bigger than yours. i'd rather get that cancer taken care of now, at a cost to me, than a year from now when it's too late.

There are worse things than expensive healthcare. Oppressive government

  • @pimpdalyrical And I will had this to end, just to be clear, you are being fucked so deep up the ass by people who don't give a shit about you.

  • @obamabinbiden911 "one step closer to losing your free will" are you serious???? You people amaze me. What free will?? The free will to die a slow & painful death because no insurance company will cover you with a pre-existing condition?? The free will to go broke trying to pay for health care and treatments that are necessary to your health but that your greedy insurance company deems "experimental"?? You are defending a bullshit system for no reason.

  • crisco80, now the government will determine whether you should live or die. They are now saying via the American Red Cross that the breast exam isn't really necessary. Tell me all you enthusiasts of this bill: if it's so great, why aren't the same lawmakers who are voting for the bill actually covered by it? Why are the unions exempt from it? Are they all too good for it? Why aren't you asking those questions?

  • Listen to ourselves everyone. I have Cancer, in remmison thank God. I was able to keep my health ins because I had worked for the same company for almost 30 years. We need to all stick together, If I had not been able to keep my ins, do you think anyone would let me buy ins even though I have been in remmison 5 years. There is no cure for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, it is very treatable but people die from it. Please let us stop call each other names and work together. Please everyone think about it

  • lol There is a big, big difference between this ad, which is only factual information, and the tea parties, which were created to sway people against the facts and play on their pathetic fear of that dirty word, "socialism" oooo how scary. BIG DIFFERENCE!! I'm sorry that you aren't bright enough to acknowledge the distinction.

  • please watch the video again and let me know what statement is a fact and not an opinion. I did not hear one.

  • @HYFURY are you really saying that you are unaware that people are hired in ad campaigns to crush health care reform??? You seriously don't now that's a fact? Have you been living under a rock? Everything he said in this ad is just a fact. Insurance companies hire people to crush health care reform cause it hurts their pockets obviously. Where is the confusion exactly????

  • @Crisco80 It looks like the big confusion here is you do not know the difference between a fact and an opinion. Let break it down for you statement by statement.

    opinion

"people are selling you things that you don't need"

    opinion

"America's health care is a mess and everyone knows it"

    opinion

"Insurance companies trot out their spokes jerks in order to charm you..."

    opinion

    "It's time for change"

  • opinion

"Recipients of big money from insurance industries."

While that politician may be receiving money from insurance companies "big" is still a matter of opinion

    Opinion

"there's plenty of room in the entertainment industry for someone who once tried to sell you the worst product in American history"

  • There ya go, that is almost every line in the video. While you may believe that some is this is true that doesn't change the FACT that it is still only your opinion.

  • Yes, tea parties can be considered a form of propaganda. Since they do spread information, whether you agree or not.

If you or anyone else have a negative connotation with the word propaganda that is really their own personal problem.

  • What a well-done piece of propaganda.

  • it's a well done piece of truth. Oh I get it. Since you don't share the same opinion, that makes this propaganda. LOL

  • Propaganda - def. 1 - information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.

Actually that is what makes it propaganda

  • @HYFURY so then that makes every single thing on tv period or in print, propaganda. Why only use the word to describe things that you don't agree with then?

  • @HYFURY tea parties, or which i refer to as, christian fundamentalist, homophobic trailer park pep rallies, are propaganda. :)

  • im so sick of this shit. everyone knows we need reform. there is not a single person who doesnt reform in congress. the republicans just dont want a public option because the public option is shit. anyone who actually took the time to look into it knows that. the republicans have proposed a much better bill but the dems are too stuborn to support it. so they get guys like this fag to make it look like the republicans are the bad guys who want to keep the system the same.

  • The Republicans have proposed a much better health reform bill? What exactly is it?

Why didn't they "propose" this great bill when they controlled the house, Senate and the White House?

  • Yes - walk away from the insurance money and de-regulate the protected insurance industry. Force them to sell insurance in a truly open market - but don't put the government in charge...

  • totally random.... I love it! lol

  • You won't actually get health treatment in N Korea, but if you go to England, Australia, New Zealand, S. Korea, Italy, Greece, Israel, Switzerland, Norway, India, Hong Kong, Spain, Austria, Ireland, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Chile, France, Canada, Japan, Germany

You can get great health care for next to nothin

Except Canada, they banned Americans from getting treatment in 2005

  • "20 bucks in your pocket" was an actual commercial?!

  • Love it. A breath of fresh air. I'm ashamed that we've corporatized the most essential human service to a civilized country, health care. Ashamed also that the conservatives quibble over Medicare costs, but think nothing of sending the country into decades of deficit to fund war on everything not american.

  • one payer system is the best option

  • So now this guys is a sellout twice. For some reason I don't trust him... Not sure why???

  • Criminal penalties

Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses. Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:

    • Section 7203 misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.

    • Section 7201 felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years. [page 3]

  • So, having the Government either force, or guarantee subsidies so that all citizens get health insurance is bad for insurance companies?

I mean, eliminating competition, and forcing a massive rise in demand...

Yeah I bet big Insurance Companies hate this

  • @FutureFireFighter01

    "Obamanazi"? "True Americans"?

Wow. Someone's drunk a little too much of the FOX Kool-Aid. Obama is not a "Nazi". Clearly you have no idea what Nazis were and represented if you associate Obama with them. Plus, I resent your claim that only people who agree with your particular extremist viewpoint are "true Americans". Since Nazis based their ideology on purity of race and purity of doctrine, your words make you appear to be more of a "Nazi" than Obama's ever could.

  • TYPING IN CAPS SURE MAKES ME LOOK SMART.

I think Mekkis pointed out your bullshit already, but I think I needed to clear that up as well.

    Fucking hypocrite.

  • I like my private health insurace... I don't get why people are complaining... Yeah it costs a lot but you get what you pay for...

Both have flaws, it just comes down to what is more important to you. Cheap insurance, or total controle of you health regardless of price...

  • ArkansasBlue? you don't work for Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield do you? The same company that rejected me for private health insurance and listed "birth control" as one of its reasons for denial? You get what you pay for? I don't get the option to pay for ANYTHING.

  • No, it's the color of my old high school, and the 46 is my football number. anyway, I can't say I have ever ran into such a situation... I'm not even sure if half of these denial cases are even true. Most of them sound made up on the spot. Not saying your's is, just saying....

  • "not saying yours is, just saying... that you could be a huge liar."

I gave you a real story about my experience in a state in which you at least lived at some point - and you decide to go back and say "well that SOUNDS made up." I have a copy of the letter. I called Blanche Lincoln's office to complain. I thought "birth control" was something BCBS made up as a reason to deny me. But they used it. And they denied me. And you're an ass for not at least considering the flaws.

  • Lets avoid personal attacks, i'm just saying for all the fuss about people gettind denied coverage, I have never seen or head of one, and none of my friends can point one out to me(and I live in a very populated area)

And don't call me an ass, I know there are flaws, but I like these flaws a lot more then I like goverment run healthcare flaws.

    Pick your poisen.

  • You haven't even SEEN government-run health care, so how would you know? Anyway, WHERE in any of the bills is THIS government-run health care?

  • Also? I can give you the names of plenty of Arkansans who are uninsurable.

  • I can't believe I'm having an internet debate... all time low for me...

Anyway, I have seen government run health care, Tennessee and it's ten care was a total train wreck.

No need to get your panties in a wad, let the vote play out and we can all shut up and move on from there....

  • Isn't Medicare government run?

  • Absolutly makes up 1/3 of the insurance in America. It is the other 2/3 I would like to save.

  • .... except when you don't get what you pay for: too often, you become sick or injured, and your insurance company finds ways to weasel out of paying for your care. Your ability to fight back is limited, since you're sick and don't have time to hire lawyers to sue them. So you're screwed, but you won't know it until it's too late.

And that's assuming you can even get insurance in the first place. If you're healthy, you can -- if you have a "pre-existing condition", good luck!

  • bigtex, little... brain

  • U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics..

    October 2009....

The unemployment rate JUMPS from 9.8% (15.1 MILLION) to....

    10.2% (15.7 MILLION)

    TOTAL UNEMPLOYMENT....

JUMPS from 16.8% to 17.5% of the civilian population or 41.4 MILLION PEOPLE.

Of those that can't afford to get H.C. insurance..

HOW MANY are DUE to NO JOBS?

    Obamer....

    IT'S THE "ECONOMY STUPID"!!!

  • There have been people unable to get health insurance far before this recession.

  • sorry but you are a retard. . .

  • Wall Street Journal

Nancy Pelosi admits that Democrats may have to **impose** a HUGE NEW TAX (VAT or NATIONAL SALES TAX) to fund their spending ambitions!

With a $9 trillion 10-year budget deficit, $4 trillion in spending in 2010 alone, & a $1.3 trillion (minimum) health-care entitlement, Pelosi & Dems are suggesting ADDING a Value Added Tax on TOP of existing TAXES that applies to every level of production or service, & is largely *hidden* from those who ultimately pay it...namely, CONSUMERS!

  • Why didn't you speak up during all that no-bid contract funding for the occupation of Iraq?

  • THE DEMOCRAT'S PLANS

    STILL leave people uninsured!!!

The Democrat's plans ONLY cover 94% of the 330 Million people in America!

Meaning that ***19.8 Million*** people will NOT GET COVERED???

And like Medicare... the Dems plan to follow the same pattern.. which means...

like Medicare... 6.9% are "DENIED" medical claims!

    Which leaves under obamer Care....

    ***22.77 Million*** people will be.....

    "DENIED MEDICAL CARE"???

    Now WHO supports obamer Care????

  • ooh. 6.9 percent.

Oooh. 94 percent covered. Yeah, that's a whooooole lot worse than it is right now. -cough-

  • You should be a lobbyist.

  • This is one helluva clip.

  • Stylish anti-system video =)

  • They say you can judge someone by the enemies he makes. You sir , now stand in very good company.

  • Kickass! I can't afford health insurance and I'm a NURSING student. Not everyone without insurance is lazy. Most of us are just broke and scared we'll get sick. Reform may not be perfect, but at least we're starting to address the problem.

  • The amusement continues :-D

  • Fucking awesome, I bet the health insurance a-holes are pissssssed!!!

  • The biggest insurance companies win, they are imune to litigation($). The government wins, your tax dollars $.

    ABC, NBC,CBS, same shit.

  • They will pass a public option. Lets just hope they dont screw it up. The insurance companies are shitting their pants because of obama. They made 13 trill in profits last year. Next year it will hopefully be 13,000 to make up for the past.

  • Don't Libertarians have anything better to do than troll health insurance videos on Youtube?

You're not the revolution guys, you're just helping the problem. Stop letting yourselves get suckered into doing dirty work for others: go out and get yourselves informed.

  • If this guy is so patriotic about "showing up" the corruption, then let him donate to the needy every penny that he made from being the FL BCBS spokesman. What you say, no? He will take their "dirty" money, and promote them however, when he gets tired of the gig, cries "wolf", thus promoting his own career. Do you really think this is all about morals? No, it's about promoting his career, and lining his pockets. Talk about capitalism!

  • Jusy need along world war and no need for insurance..

  • great I guess capitalism just doesn't freaking work. I guess 200 years of prosperity and innovation at the cutting edge of technology is just a dream and all capitalists are cheats and liars. Oh wait , that means communism is better. Wow thanks brave films for that bunch of BS

  • link to the original story and to when they "came out," please? A google search for your "quoted" story came up with no results.

  • @jblcva

There is no question that you are ignorant, as are the rest of the Birthers, Deathers, Twelvers and all the other right-wing conspiracy-weaving loons. Do you have no concept of your own ignorance?

You calling me ignorant? Your logic is

    not based in facts.

  • Still waiting on a link to that AP story you referenced and a link to the AP standing by the story on Monday.

  • Released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College . Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California.

  • Link to the source, please?

  • Only fools would believe that the solution to the financial / insurance monopolies, is to create the mother of all monopolies, a govt. monopoly.

The govt. is claiming that it "needs" a tax-payer funded insurance program of its own in order to "compete" with the financial / insurance monopolies they just bailed out with tax-payer funds. The tax payer is paying for both sides of the "competition".

The govt. needs to do its' job and enforce anti-trust, anti-monopoly laws.

  • BraveNewPropaganda

  • He makes a dollar for one side, and makes another from a different side. Nothing wrong with making money.

  • The guy in this video is now being paid to be a spokesjerk for a government monopoly in health care and health insurance.

  • How much are you getting paid to be a whore for corporations?

    Nothing?? What a sucker!

  • That's right, nothing!

    Some whore I am.

A whore is someone who sells out.

Yet I am not selling out in any way that you have identified.

I don't work for a large corp. I work as a substitute math teacher in private high schools and as a math tutor.

You have judged me without knowing anything about me.

Kinda makes you look bad, doesn't it?

  • Me look bad? I'm not the one shilling for corporations that do nothing but steal from working folk.

You're a fool, and an idiot.

  • Shilling requires being paid.

    I'm not being paid.

Therefore I am not shilling, and I do not look bad for that reason, even if I do look bad for some other reason which you have not specified.

But in any case, you have called me a sucker, a whore, a shill, a fool and an idiot, yet you do not know me from Adam. I've demonstrated that I do not meet the definition for shill or whore, and you have provided no evidence that I am a sucker, fool or an idiot.

I'd say that makes you look pretty bad.

  • Do you actually know if Robert Greenwald has compensated him for this ad?

  • No, I admit I do not.

  • "you do not know me from Adam"

I know that you are a sucker for corporate propaganda. That makes you an idiot.

As far as the rest of the insults go, use your imagination. They fit.

  • I suspect it is you who is using your imagination about what I am like.

All you know is that I think that a government monopoly in health care would be a bad thing. Are you defending such an arrangement, or do you just like calling strangers names?

  • get this fli floping sell out the fuck out of my face. how could i respect this fence hopper

  • maybe people should take care of themselves and not rely on doctors and meds... it's not hard to do, but people seem to make up every excuse in the book and even ones not heard of as to why they can't eat right, exercise, and overall stay away from unhealthy habits... now everyone want to put it on insurance companies.. get a life and be responsible for yourself.. this mentality i hear day in and day out is no better than most of the five year old kids i've come across... lets all grow up!

  • We already have Death Panels. We call them health insurance companies.

  • brilliant!

"Aetnas Ronald Williams received $24,300,112 last year. Thats $467,309.85 per week"

    i wish i made 2336 iPhones a week..or 9 corvettes a week...or the equivalent of 112 average American households..

  • You guise...Andy never worked for insurance companies. Google is your friend. Jeez..

This is a spoof (one I approve of) as health care reform is needed. Although just making Medicare available to ALL would make a much smaller bill than what came out of the House. But too many congresscritters ar beholden to their donations from insurance and pharmaceutical corps. I don't care if private insurance makes a profit...they are vultures when people are their most desperate.

  • "I don't care if private insurance makes a profit...they are vultures when people are their most desperate."

    We are humans, not vultures.

  • If you ever get bonuses for denying people care their Dr's say they need to help your company's bottom line...then you are a vulture.

If someone needs insurance and you reject them because they look like a money loser, then you are a vulture.

Problem is, vultures are actually useful. Insurance companies are middle men skimming off the top and are not part of the healing process.

    These are people's lives.

  • "Problem is, vultures are actually useful."

    Not to humans.

"Insurance companies are middle men skimming off the top and are not part of the healing process."

I couldn't agree more. They serve no purpose in improving the quality of health care.

  • Vultures are an integral part of the ecosystem, so therefore are useful. They do what they have adapted to do.

  • And how would the government improve the quality of health care?

They don't exactly have a good record of running anything, unless the goal was to go bankrupt.

  • It was the insurance companies that went bankrupt first... the government may be incompetent, however we must agree that the American financial sector and especially the insurance companies were the major reason for the global financial crisis, which the American government saved the world from through their monetary policy.

  • U.S. Dollars are backed by nothing and can be called into existence without real limits, this causes inflation. When bankrupt companies are prevented from failing by the government by funneling in these new dollars, That is a major problem, as it rewards incompetence. You cannot have a health care system paid in government dollars unless you accept poor health care and hyper inflation as the result.

  • @Silveracity Should we be put back on the gold standard?

  • If you had the choice to be paid in gold coin, or in paper federal reserve notes, what would you choose?

  • @Silveracity Since grocery stores and other places that require payment won't take gold I am forced to take paper money as wages. I can convert my cash to gold but AI would have to convert it back to pay my bills. At one time money did represent it's worth in gold which means that paper money did at least represent real value rather than an IOU. I personally think it would be better to go back to the old system .

  • I'd like the people to have a choice between Federal reserve notes and gold and silver certificates. At that point the free market can decide what system is best.

  • Yes, a rare session for Congress is being called for THIS SATURDAY. When they should be doing something about the 10.2% unemployment, the liberals are going to try to destroy private healthcare in America.

  • Actually, what "liberals" are going to try to do is destroy private health negligence by promoting actual public health and health care.

I did notice that you have upchucked one of the most popular wingnut talking points that derides Canada's healthcare system while neglecting the deficiencies of ours.

    Polly want a cracker?

  • Private healthcare in America already destroyed itself. They are for-profit, therefore if a sick person takes away from that profit...they will dump then ASAP. And if someone is already sick, then forget it. I haven't had insurance for over 2 years because of pre-existing conditions. Healthcare should be about making people as healthy as possible, not about worrying about bills when they DO get sick. They should spend their energy on trying to get better.

  • The companies, including the insurance companies, are reverting back to the 'free market theory' where there is no government intervention. If you really want that we can all wait for the next GFC (global financial crisis) which the banks and the insurance companies created and carried through with their professional neglect. I can't believe people still trust insurance companies after what they've done to the US economy. Of course they can't be trusted.

  • "Canada ranked among the leaders in the number of physicians..."

Canada ranks 4th on the Human Development Index. The U.S. = 13th and is trending downward. Criteria include: life expectancy and standard of living.

    Life Expectancy

Canada = 80.7 (6th highest in the world)

    U.S. = 78.2 (23rd)

Quality of living(cities), Vancouver, Canada is among the top 5 in the world. In fact, just in the Americas, Canada owns all top 5 spots.

Obviously, whatever Canada does is better than what we are doing.
