One thing I don't understand is when you're playing online, and other racers fall off the level and then appear farther ahead of you as if nothing happened. Am I the only one who experiences this???

I'm pretty good at this game myself. But I think what he's doing is getting a good drift, and then rotating the Nunchuk stick in a 360 degree angle based on the direction of his turn. However, I could be wrong.

My play style is pretty similar to yours, but I can't figure out how to do the drift boost (blue spark thing) as much as you are. What's it based off of? Turn angle or amount of time holding down the drift, or a little of both?

Yeah the Nunchuk Wiimote combo is the best, easy to pull off tricks and control your direction as well.
