yeah and the negative thought here should be this; you'll be sorry for challenging me when I slap you with my flat tummy" which is actually a positive image for her. what you are saying is true negative thinking can bring motivation but not in this case.
There is actually a book about this called "The Positive Power of Negative Thinking". I love that book because it relieved me of the positive thinking method that usually doesn't work for me. Read it. There is more to this. She explains a lot in the book.
sure u get the positive result of having a slim stomach, but it seems as though the relationship with the person who made the negative ocmment could be strained... all i am saying is if it had started from a point of positivity there would be no negativity and you would yield the same result with out undue stress
seems fairly destructive to use negative thinking for spirt but using negative and turning to positive seems better...and even better start from positive
i think that when people talk about positive and negative thinking in regards to weightloss, the focus is not so much external. usually people with weight to lose have negative thoughts about themselves, and its those that are detrimental. your friend seemed to have nothing but confidence in the fact that she could make this happen and thus she did...that, to me, sounds like positive thinking. maybe the spite helped to spark it, but if she didnt think she could do it, she wouldnt have.
LOL...I would get the friend lots of belly baring shirts and make comments all the time about how flat her stomach was in front of the MIL (who I am guessing never had been in great shape)
Mmmm..maybe perhaps the fact that she just shot a living human being out ofher body but her only value as a wife is her flat stomach? Thats what I would think if someone said that BS about me.
You can't say its true unless you have seen the person. Every body is different. And it still does not change the fact that it is rude and useless to say about the mother of your grandchild.
never thought of this one! good thought! that's why i won't a punching bag, i think i could burn a lot of calories if i had one. if i get one i'll be sure to post some of my fury on it! lol!
It's not about what happens to you....it's about what you do with what happens to you.
