Awesome sound.. I have the older version of Fast Track and the Latency is so delayed, I can't get the video to match the audio. I notice you have yours pretty close. When I do mine, it looks like I am not even playing it and doing a bad "Air Guitar"
Is the amp is loud, because I want to record, but I live in an apartment and I don't want to disturb my neighborhood , also I have an output jack on my amp, but I heard it's recommended to Mic it. I have a AKG 1200E (pratically same as Shure SM57). Just want to know if I should buy the fast audio usb sound card. Thank for a future reply.
good tune, man, reminded me of metallica, slightly pantera and megadeth. Does fast track pro have guitar direct input without the need of an amp and a mic?
@moneymoney220666 firewire is a connection technology to transfer data while m-audio is the recording interface. different products in the m-box line uses different transfer technology, some supports firewire, some don't . You can't compare the two like that.
@javierf55 If you read his info at the top he says he mike'd the amp. So the microphone is plugged into the M-Audio interface. If an amp has a line out jack, you can connect it to that as well.
@javierf55 with the 6505 head you can either mic the cab or you can plug the "preamp out" directly into your audio interface with a single, standard, 3.5mm jack and emulate the cab with impulses or with a virtual cabinet software like recabinet or amplitube

@TanakiAlison I have 2 computers running Win7 one has a Fast Track pro the other has the Fast Track Ultra 8r. @XChrisxRubiX i think he is saying he plugged the guitar into the amp and had the microphone hooked into the interface and into the computer.. thats what you would do for mor authentic tone than say garage band whose onboard amps and effects arent exactly Mesa or vox sounding

@MusicVivid Yeah, on the front of the interface there are 2 XLR-1/4-inch combination jacks, which means it's compatible with both microphone cables and guitar plugs (1/4-inch jack).
I would really like to get one of these recording interfaces. Question: does it work with windows 7? I've heard other interfaces had problems with windows 7.
@kenisinoregon You don't need to install any of the drivers for mac. The system should recognize the hardware and be picked up for whatever software you are using (garageband, pro tools, etc)
@kenisinoregon To my knowledge it's only for bringing older systems up to date. @TikkalaV Tikka, nice playing! Quick question on your comment, what do you mean by 'computer that can keep up with it'? Do you mean your computer's USB speed? sorry!
@TikkalaV cool ! so one can record something using pro tool's click without hearing it 16ms late (that's how works the integrated soundcard of my laptop ...it's just a little fucking piece of shit TT )
@TikkalaV Hello man!! i have an interface Fast pro! it has 2 inputs, one for a micro and the other one for the guitar, you know it. I have a problem, when I plugged my guitar, I doesn't work. @wrigglesmca Yea you really showed me Lol as I kinda stated before the I did not know it, Your clearly do not understand humor because for your quip to work I have to act like I know it dumbass, or maybe your too stupid to direct that message to nameless164
@odinata to him, it may be bad. to us who aren't interested in dynamics and such as much as him, we would think it was great. we can argue both ways. imo it's pretty good though
He got the soundless guitar recording from it.. The Fast Track allows him to make the guitar song/solo without all the crackling from the camera and too much distortion from the guitar.
Hey, Just wanted to know if you ever tried to record the guitar through the fast track using just the guitar plugged in (no mic and amp just direct line in) if so, hoes the resaults ?

I love how he excuses it by saying its "shitty", when actually its incredible. And I hate metal. But this is good.
Hell, he knew it was good, or he wouldn't have put a video of himself doing it for the ENTIRE WORLD to see.
Mesa Boogie.

@odinata to him, it may be bad. to us who aren't interested in dynamics and such as much as him, we would think it was great. we can argue both ways. imo it's pretty good though

PROBLEM / PLEASE / HELP
I bought the fast track pro and installed it just as it says in manual. The problem is, when
it says to connect the USB after finishing installation, the computer doesn't identify the new USB
Audio Interface (It says "Found New Hardware", but nothing happens when u look for E: for example.)
I 've been searching for answer for MANY hours, and most people didn't have this problem. Thanks for attention.

Where's the Fast Track Pro?
odinata 2 years ago 5
He got the soundless guitar recording from it.. The Fast Track allows him to make the guitar song/solo without all the crackling from the camera and too much distortion from the guitar.
Nice job on the playing mate, it was awesome.
