The ppv wasn't that bad,but because of the tragic circumstances the whole ppv lost its point. It was almost disturbing to keep watching, the part with the ambulance kept scratching on everyone's nerves, every person in the building was probably in a shock and the ending was just plain low.The ppv was tragic enough but the comments made me sick, people please watch what you write. This is not a F***ing forum.
@noveltybobel it is owen's blood! as thats where he landed after hitting the turnbuckle. he obviously bled to death. if you watch matches after it happened you see all the wrestlers looking at that spot. like undertaker for example he was in the main event against austin and when undertaker came out and got in the ring he looked right at that spot and nearly cryed you could see his eyes tear up
@Takersbiggestfan if you go to part 3 and pause it at 0:25 just after xpac gave d'lo the bronco buster and if you look closely you can see a blood stain right almost in front of where Ivory is standing, Which was before the accident happened, thus disproving your theory
for vince to even carry on with the show is sad and then to show up at the end is even worse you would think he had other problems to deal with at this point !!
in my opinion yh it was wrong to carry the shown on, but in fairness to mcmahon he probably though at the time "literally an on-the-spot decision" that carrying on was the better option. and big credit to everyone who wrestled after the accident for keeping it together and trying to keep the fans entertained
You honestly cant hold a ppv after a man fell from the rafters. Everyone was taken out of it. It didnt matter if they would have had a taker vs hbk classic. No one would have remembered it. They would have only remembered the death of a great man.
@vergilheartnet The dysfunctions of the Mcmahon family were an ongoing angle during the attitude era with Vince, his wife Linda and their children Shane and stephanie as well as son-in-law Triple H constantly siding with/against each other with loyalties constantly changing and wrestlers being used as pawns. Actually made for some good viewing.
i only imagine the owner of this company still doing his character....that goes to show...that the show must go on....rest in peace....and wwe should put this on home video but they never will....thank u all for doing ur best that night for us fans....thank u :)
How can Vince stand to do that "strut" at 4:06 to 4:24 after one of his best employees DIED under an hour ago? It's one thing not to stop the show, but to not stop the show AND go parading down there like nothing's wrong....that's just sickening.
@TheShockMaster Why dont you shut the fuck up, stop criticizing Vince for continuing the ACT. He had to do what he had to do, EVERY HAD TO CONTINUE. What happened is JUST HORRIBLE. But families still need to be fed, and the show must go on. So shut the fuck up and pray for own and his family.
@TheShockMaster thats how vince walks in real life. i have a friend who's father owns the catering hall where triple h and steph had their reception. He told me and my brother that Vince truly walks like that in real life
the video was actually issue but they totally delete about owen hart match promos, his falling announcement and also his death annoucement as if it never happened.. i bought it in 2000 but i never know that he died on that ppv i thought he died at raw.. but when i surf youtube and read wwe news then i found that owen died at over the edge
in the show jr says the word dead and then fight for his life, that was only bad thing he done all night, jr deserves a medal for keeping the show going
Near the three minute mark, what a chair shot by Austin - one of the most wicked I've witnessed. He just slams for the hell of it and up to the heavens for Owen.
Most people are curious so they can look at what went wrong, thinking that it will possibly help them survive in life or help a loved one. I know if my wife was in a car wreck, I'd like to know what type of car crashed into hers, what kind of speed it was going at, what kind of state of mind that driver was in etc
It's human nature to view things that shock us so we become immune to being scared or shocked by it further, thus strengthening resolve
im pretty sure you wouldnt actually see him fall...because the speed is way to fast for a video camera to catch...especially in 09...and it had to be a normal fan recording...because the wwe cameras didnt catch the fall thank god...they cut to the interview...
No Owen hart died an hour before the stone cold/taker match.
