Wow. Seriously wow. You really know nothing about Pachelbel's music. The ocean is soothing, they use it to treat PTSD, and different kinds of stress problems. This song is right on. I'm guessing you're expecting a slower wedding version that's been bastardized so the bride can walk to it. This is how the song really goes. It's not off key.

when i was little my mom would play this music and i loved it and i still do.

My dad use to put me to sleep as a kid by playing a cd that had ocean sounds followed by Pachelbel's Canon. This isn't that same one, but it is very nice!
