Just got this phone and im amazed. This phone has it all and motoblur makes it insanely easy to check everything andbon top of that the 1ghz processor is a bonus. It's extremely fast and good battery life. I text all day and do a good amount of web surfing. Overall. I love this phone and I recommend it over my previous 3G slide, and g2

i will never buy another motorla phone again because of my experience with them and my motorola cliq xt...they strung us along in june and time after time broke the deadline promise. then just a couple days agao announced that us cliq x users wont get to se 2.1 on our phones...so whos to say they might do the same for the other phones...so thats y im done with moto...

EVERY smartphone has to be bought with web service. but there are ways of getting around it. one way is that you could by it off craigslist. there are lots of people selling brand new phones. obviously your gonna have to pay a little extra since your not buyin it with a contract, but you won't have to by the web and data plans

Not meant to double comment, but excellent review. :)

I was particularily happy that upgrading from the CLIQ to the CLIQ2 was only $50 with a contract extension at radioshack. Definitely worth the upgrade, very happy with the phone for it's value.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but one thing you didn't mention was Profiles! On any homescreen, press menu, and select profiles. 3 profiles are available by default: Home, work, and weekend. If you use all 3, that's essentially 21 customizable homescreens! Each profile allows for different widgets, wallpapers, and I think a few other settings. This feature is new to the Motoblur foundation beginning with phones released around the time of the CLIQ2.

so its really just the original Cliq again. not much has changed. you would think they would have added at least something to it! shame on you motorola

@lopezr1000 yes a very basic upgrade of processor and screen. thats standard for any new phone these days. i was hoping for maybe 2nd cam for video chat at the very least. im just saying in my personal opinion having owned the first cliq. its really not worth it to purchase this phone.

99 dollars? It may seem like a good deal but then t mobile would make you buy a monthly data plan with it so in the long run you pay a whole lot more :(

@beratalbania T-Mobile said today that it is hoping to get updates out in 3 to 5 months for new OS releases, but I think that it would be foolish to believe that we'll see Gingerbread in the first half of this year since all of the new devices announced at CES were running Froyo. There must be a reason for that.
