This video has officially caused me to choose the DX over the DI. The main reason I had even the slightest urge to get the DI was the Sense UI. I realize that Froyo is coming to the DX probably very soon, - Probably as soon as the Droid 2 is released, so I was thinking of going with the DX anyway, but this has made me set on the DX for sure.

Just one thing. Does using LauncherPro + your settings with it cause the battery life to go down significantly? Have you noticed any difference? Thanks. :)

@paycer It shouldn't consume any more battery life than the stock launcher. I think it just uses CPU cycles more efficiently.

Would it be recomended to get the droid incredible over the droid x for someone who wants a less complicated phone?

@ShayDaGreenQueen I think that Sense UI by default is better than the Blur that the DX comes with, but I'd replace Sense with LauncherPro anyways. I think what should determine if you want the DI or DX is the screen size. Also, you should take into account that the DX has better battery life, reception, and call quality than the DI, if that's important to you.

@FabolousTT just got my droid x yesterday its my first droid phone so i have alot of learning to do. how do you get that clock/weather widget or whatever it is? all i know how to get is the one that comes from the factory on one of the screens

@ilOsirhC that's Beautiful Widgets in the market. The skin is called airportone, and the weather icons are called ANDROdena weather pack or something.

Where do you get that Pandora Widget at the top of your third home screen at 0:16? And also what widget is that directly below it? It looks like an RSS reader? I can get a Pandora icon, but it is just regular sized, how do you get whatever it is that you have that is a 4x1?

@sbrobin1 That's just the Pandora widget that comes with the app. You should be able to place it as well. The RSS reader is the 'News' widget.

On my incredible when i put a contact at the bottom it would ask me what i wanted it to do first,for example "call contact". My X doesnt ask that question,any idea why? Also why when i try to put the photo slideshow it says widget conflict? I dont have any other pictures on the homescreen. I also cant resize the contact widger like i could on my incredible. Any help would be great. Thanks

Dose the Launcher Pro come with same set up like shown in the video?

Dose it have the same wallpaper that is the HTC Evo have?

@ojrej011 It's in the market. I don't know what EVO wallpaper you're talking about, but getting wallpapers for your phone has nothing to do with the launcher (well, they may come with some, but it doesn't affect which ones you can have at all).

@DeanDino2359 to be honest the HTC weather widget is getting old , I'm happy with the default Droidx weather widget for now and might install some alternatives but definitely not the HTC look a like, but that's me .

I am getting my X next week. How did you get launcher pro to have the icons of the Droid X Blur theme?? When i downloaded it in the store it came up with the stock android 3d launcher but i like how the launcher is the same icon as the Droid X blur.

Is this a theme?? Or did it do it automatically? Thanks!

@mcchristolear it's not automatic, I had to modify the application to get the X launcher icon in there. You can find the file if you search for 'xTheme' on AndroidForums.

I like it but how did you keep the white stock drawer arrow at the bottom of the screen? Also how did you save some of the stock widgets such as the news feeds and picture widgets thanks

@DeanDino2359 I have a custom version of LauncherPro that I themed myself. It's available on AndroidForums, if you search for xTheme for Droid. Also, all the Blur widgets work, they just can't be resized.

are you pretty happy with the data speed? I get 1.7 mbps on at&t consistently, but I hear verizon is slower.

@boxersbeatbrawlers depends where you live, really. I get anywhere from 1.5 to 2.25 mbps in my town, but I've seen places where Verizon only gets like 500kbps.

One advantage CDMA has over GSM though is that the latency is much lower, so even if throughput isn't as high, it still seems quicker.

@drummingtrumpeteer69 it only changes the homescreen...but that's the centerpiece of the phone, the place that leads to all others, and it makes it significantly better than the default experience.

@Preach2k Yes, live wallpapers work. The performance is on par with the stock launcher. It does slow the phone down noticeably, which is why I choose not to use them.
