  • I'd agree that Kashmir by Led Zeppelin is probably one of the most popular yet uncredited song out there. Also, Hurt by Nine Inch Nails (Trent Reznor). Most people thought it was written by Johnny Cash >.< Black Betty is another amazing song which I still don't know who did the original :P Most people wouldn't even know that Lynyrd Skynyrd did the classic Sweet Home Alabama.

  • Superstition? Really? Who can't name that song if it comes on and they've heard it before?... Actually, just plain who can't name that song while listening to it? Or Come Sail Away for that matter.

  • @selonianth A few of the songs I'd initially had were pulled for copyright, hence I was somewhat rushed to find replacements.

  • Try 480p it's better!

  • ...what about... "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - Nirvana? owo like... everyone recognizes the song, but no one can say what it's named or who made it -.-

  • @denestygg Considered it, but it really wasn't what I felt I was going for. Truth be told, I knew the name of the song before I ever heard it. It didn't really blow me away (which is not to say i don't like Nirvana). I decided against it.

  • I LOVE OLD MUSIC!!! AND I KNOW THEM ALLLLLLLLL <3

  • Thank you for Rocky mountain way! DA NANA NANA!

  • who doesnt know fortunate son

  • Well I've heard everyone of those songs and I could of told you who sang everyone of them. Great songs.

  • reall?! it has the names of the songs in them what is the point????? honestly

  • @GloryRemains What's the point of the additional question marks? Was there some doubt whether I would understand you were asking me a question?

  • It should be the songs that you never heard of. Im only 11 and I heard of all of these songs and most of them I like.

  • @luke4428 Good for you, Zippy.

  • literally knew all of these

  • @TheAmazingIceMan Good for you, Zippy.

  • The first song is listed incorrect. Janis Joplin sings it.

  • @designgal1229 Do you know who the lead singer is for Big Brother & the Holding Company?

  • On the majority of songs on both of these vids my 12 year old son could name them. Simple challenge is simple.

  • @simonjackson357 Good for you, Zippy. On a more serious note, great for your son. I wish all my college friends knew these songs.

  • Yet again the name is mentioned in 8 of the ten's choruses, most of them multiple times. Maybe you should retitle these to songs people don't know who sings them because even my friends who are very bad at remembering song names would know most of these, just not the artist. If you want songs that everyone knows but not the title, try Kashmir from Led Zeppelin. Everyone knows that song, everyone knows it's Zeppelin, but almost no one knows the title. I didn't for a long time.

  • @MusicalAnimeLuvr191 I had a ton of Led Zeppelin songs, but they are very hardcore about their songs being up. I had other songs, had to take a lot of them off. Still, I was determined to put up another list, so I rushed a bit. My third list ended up much better.

  • i feel frigging sorry for people hat dont know some of these songs for example mony mony billy idol puh-leeeeeeze

  • How do you not know the title of Solsburry hill?

  • @ShaunaEmm Let's see now, Gabriel only said it once in the entire song, it's easy to miss, and the rest of the song gives few hints towards said title.

  • I hear these in my school all day in M.C.

  • I can name everyone of these songs lol

  • @TheThruster24 Please read the description for your reward.

  • @SGTItachi47 Again, knew almost all of the songs, until you started to get out of the 60/70s music era... most of them are still popular... you need to make a teleporter so I can see eric clapont or neil diamond in concert...

  • @HuntemProductions Hell, if I make the teleporter, why the hell do you get to see Clapton live? If I make one, I'm going to the frikin' concert.

  • people who don't know Fortunate son need to go kill themselves

  • Lol at first I thought Pinball Wizard was a church song.

    Then I recognized it.

    ._."

  • @TheSmartSinger it ain't Boulevard of Broken Dreams, it's I Walk Alone.

    GET UR FACTS STRAIGHT

  • @moonblossomstars you're an idiot!

  • If someone doesn't know superstition they need a slap.....

  • 1-you forgot Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams

2- I knew them all including the first one and I'm 12!

  • @TheSmartSinger Yeah, really don't need to post something THAT recent. Good for you, Zippy.

  • @TheSmartSinger your also a twat

  • @stegforg why?

  • @TheSmartSinger want a award!

  • @nikshuman Your reward is in the description. Now go away.

  • @nikshuman yes, cookie! ^^

  • Either I'm way old or the person who posted this is way young. How can people NOT know these songs??? *SMH*

  • @That80smom I'm young, I was a bit rushed for this list, and at least it's good music.

  • thanks for both your vids i really like most of these and didn't know the name of a lot of them so this was really helpful ^-^

  • @dzakamags Glad to help.

  • umm i don't know any of the songs on the video, they must of been made before i was born, i'm only 11 ^_^

  • @SerenaSkye10 That's a shame. Try listening to the radio more. Less to the new stuff, more to the old stuff; there's a lot of great music out there.

  • @SerenaSkye10 :OOOO You don't know Mony Mony?!! Let's get shaky mony mony! Doo! Doo doo! I'm 14 and I know most of these from my parents and just listening to this since I was little : ) You should totally listen to older music!

  • @SerenaSkye10 and... im 11 and i knew the name of all the songs before the vid

  • sang come sail away in my chorus class my jr year of high school.... omfg i love it!!!!! :D

  • good song choices!!! but it's fortunate one not fortunate son. But it's ok I'll cut you some slack you have a good taste in music!!!

  • @rhcprock26571 Pretty sure it's Fortunate Son. I bought all these songs beforehand. Plus I really like that one.

  • @SGTItachi47 it is "Fortunate Son" you are correct

  • @musicalstarsweep Sweet.

  • Who does not know that song by Styx

  • @luckyruins Anyone whose only heard the first part? Anyone who can't quite make out the lyrics? Anyone who only knows it for its kick-ass drum solo? I dunno, but maybe there's someone out there.

  • I flipped when Pinball Wizard played!

  • Should I feel weird because I already knew all 10 of those o-o

  • @SteveIronmaiden Not at all.

  • @SteveIronmaiden No. By all means, that's good. Try out my next list; 10 Other Sons Everyone Knows but No One Knows the Name Of.

  • this is rock...........

  • @Amberdragons Do you have a problem with Rock?

  • I know almost all of these and their names.

  • @Sorinshuto Good for you, Zippy.

  • @MrDreamTheater1 You suck.

  • you have 2 of those most annoying videos on Youtube.

  • @Blwx3 You lack the ability to read what it says in the description. Or just the attention span. Either way, I don't see you as worth my time.

  • @SGTItachi47 you mad bro?

  • @Blwx3 Little annoyed that so many people don't bother to read the description.

    But never mad.

  • @SGTItachi47 I promise I'll read it next time lol.

  • oh it is really only any body born after 1985 who would not know any of these titles my you need to rename your video to if you were all us kids whos moms didnt make us sing all her favorite songs?

  • @roeroe1able This wasn't my mum's type of music. Plus my Dad was a Genesis fanatic.

  • help from my friends is by the beatles

  • @totaldrambeatles22 Does that sound like Ringo Starr to you?

  • @SGTItachi47 i am stating the fact the song was made by the beatles oh and two more fun facts paul mcCartney wrote it and like every beatles song before abbey road meant to be heard in mono so before you look the song look up mono remaster and when you hear the line would you stand up and walk out on me keep the line would you throw tomato's at me in your head

  • @totaldrambeatles22 Help with my Friends has been done by several artists. This is the version I always think of.

  • dont know any of these to be honest!!

    lol

    tru!!

  • sorry but like.. what gaytards argue about the fact we know these songs or not, just sit the fuck down and then listen and appreciate the music and stop being such smart asses...

  • Not going lie this list actually helped me a bit. I am younger and didn't grow up with this FUCKING AWESOME music. so sadly I don't know all the albums, song, and artists :( thanks bro..

  • @Revels64 your post made me lol my mom played all her music her 78s records then my cousion played there from the 50s&60s i ply allmy from 70s&80s and then i sarted on country lol my point my 2 boys are 22&16 they love it all from billie holiday to disturbed lol

  • Seriously, with a little help from my friend, Joe Cocker? You should stop making these

  • @baklazan777 Nah, I get kicks just doing what people tell me not to do.

  • Doesn't everyone know superstition?..

  • @StrawberryPicnic32 I was rushed. Had several songs pulled for copyrighting.

  • Asereje Las Ketchup SEARCH THAT UP

  • Try using songs when the title of the song isn't said 100 times in the song

  • @im4abj Try reading some of the prior comments instead of just saying what other people have said a dozen times before.

  • if you can't name come sail a way there's a problem...

  • @Nicoledidwhat I was a little rushed for some of the songs on this list. I wanted to make a second, but I wanted it to be another 10 songs. A few were removed for copyright, so I had to slap a few on at the last minute.

  • @SGTItachi47 ha no big! i was just saying that's like a classic to me so i didn't expect to see it here (:

  • subbed i have this problem ALL THE TIME

  • wheres china grove the doobie brothers???

  • @ThatPurpleDoor Hadn't put the song with the name for that one yet. I have a third list, and if I can get ahold of enough songs, I may do a fourth. Thanks for contributing!

  • I knew the artists of all of these songs, but i couldnt name the names. lmao

  • I count this video as proof that the best music was written in the 60's and 70's

  • @TarisV Well hey, Queen didn't come out with Bohemian Rhapsody until the 80's, if I recall.

  • @SGTItachi47 CHECK YOUR DATE ON BOHEMIAM RHAPSODY IT WAS EARLY 70'S AND YOUR RECALL ISN'T VERY GOOD!!

  • @kjcollins21 I'm a tad deaf in this ear; please type a little louder next time.

  • @SGTItachi47 - October 1975 Bohemian was released. With a re-release in 1991 in the UK and in 1992 in the US. At no point was it released or re-released in the 80s.

  • @zbr76 Very well, thanks for the clearing up.

  • @TarisV No the reason people know them is because they have been exposed a much longer time. Not because they are better.

  • I know most of them, It should be 'With A Little Help From My Friends' By The Beatles.

  • @supersonic7799 The singer in my video didn't sound much like John Lennon. Sounds more like Joe Cocker.

  • @SGTItachi47 thats because ringo sings with a little help from my friends

  • @43georgeharrison Who doesn't sound much like Joe Cocker either, but thank you for the interesting bit of information. I admit I didn't know that.

  • SO THE SONG GOT IN MY HEAD IN BATTLEFIELD VIETNAM IS FORTUNATE SON?DAMN!!

  • "With a little help from my friends" was originatly by The Beatles.

  • @sansan2992 No kidding.

  • @Alex12241989 Thank you for your opinion. Go tell it to someone who cares.

THE WHO!
  • I didn't recognize any of those songs :P

  • You would think superstition would be obvious...

  • @HolyTurtleOfDoom I had to take off Aqualung for copyrighting, and I wanted to keep it at an even 10. I was rushed.

  • i'm surprised you didnt have "eye of the tiger" on this list.

  • @neglectoid I get that often.

  • yea boy PINBALL WIZARD!

  • Hey SGTItachi47, don't listen to the shit people are giving you. I googled your title, more or less, to see what I was missing out on, and you have exactly what I was looking for. Sure, I knew some of these, but I sure as hell didn't know either Mony Mony or Fortunate Son by their titles. Thanks man.

  • @thps8 You're welcome. I must admit though that I did get a little desperate for some of these songs. I had some better ones, but they kept taking the video down when I put them up. I have a ton of Led Zeppelin I wanted to put up.

  • @thps8 cuz ur retarded

  • I know superstition, fortunate son, and pinball wizard.

  • @CptQuestionMark Good for you, Skippy.

  • The name of this and other videos like this should be, 10 songs every one knows but cant remember who preformed them, or something around those lines.

  • dude. seriously. I know its bed said, but how can you NOT know the names of these songs?

  • @angelonyxangel Ignorance, lack of motivation, apathy, the defining characteristics of Americans.

  • Piece of My Heart is by Janis Joplin. I thought everyone knew that

  • @Equilibrist8 Janis Joplin was the Lead Singer of Big Brother & the Holding Company. Didn't you know that?

  • i think most anyone who knows anything about music knows most everyone of these songs from the first 5seconds of the song. Some of the most easily labeled songs in history should of been your title

  • @ZBshadow I had some better ones, but they had to be taken down for copyright. Had a whole list of Led Zeppelin songs.

  • dynomite rocks

  • how about outfield??? tons of song by them i didnt know the name of

  • Superstition is my jam! Love it!

  • Mony Mony is by Tommy James and the Shondels

  • @Multiincoming I agree, well said

  • @MinusHuman12 simplest way to say it :D

  • is this a joke?? shudnt these be titled `some of these easiest songs to recognize(and guess the name of)ever!`

  • @bellybroom Yeah, I had a few better ones, but had to take them down for copyrighting. Frankly, I had a whole list of Led Zeppelin songs, but knew I shouldn't even bother with it. They are hard-asses when it comes to their stuff.

  • Fortunate Son <3
