this is why I try to stay in my room or gone. I hate the city.......with all its people.... oh and hello.. I've been gone a while, its nice to see you again.
Scattered or not, your vlogs are always interesting. I would love to live in the mountains but running into a bear or a mountain lion would give me a heart attack.
the illusion is all a distraction and a camoflauge, we know theres more without the illusion imputting its interpretation, be at one with the world, if the mind can concieve it the illusion will believe it. hold on to your innocence. peace.
@kenrg I actually lucked out. It went from 80 to 31... and here I was kicking myself that I didn't get the plants in the ground! Things happen for reasons I believe.
I've only ever lived in a City, so my view of the sky is limited by the light pollution. But when i was skiing in Norway, in the middle of nowhere at the foot of some mountain, i saw the milkyway and it was breath taking. I couldn't take my eyes of it and i almost fell down a very steep slope into a frozen river.
Heidi, You have the greatest vids, they have content, good music and let us overpopulated, overstimulated humans realize that the real world is out there to be loved, protected and valued. We all need to make sure that there always is a place to see the stars, and nature as it should be. Thanks for bringing a part of your life into mine. You are a treasure. :o)
@LeSaMilano I'm glad you can relate! The stars last night were incredible! A cold front rolled through and I can safely say I have a neck ache. Satellites even - it was that clear~
I had the opposite acclimation when I went out in the woods for a couple days and heard nothing but the wind, and the little animals running around...in the night...which was kinda creepy in my tent.
I had my camera with me. If I did this correctly, I should have posted my little camping music video as a response. I hope you like it.
I would never live in the city, so used to living in my little town, it's like taking a step back into the 50's, glad you're enjoying your serenity, take care of yourself
I get this (reverse) effect every time I come off a long river trip. I remember coming off ~20 days on the Grand Canyon - being completely removed from the outside world and finding it odd to hear motorized vehicles driving out of the landing at Diamond Creek. Our minds expect routine. Mixing it up keeps things interesting.
@lazlo5149 Trust me, it was just as twisted trying to sleep through the noise for the first week. I wasn't expecting to acclimate to that at all but finally in week two, I finally settled in. When I got back I figured it would just be easy & I could unwind per usual. I was wrong! Hope all is well with you~ I found nothing more about the chair. Have you?
@Ghostwriter6967 I just woke from a 10 hour sleep!!! It was everything I wanted and more. Thanks GW. Much love to you & I hope this finds you safe and sound~
Peace and Serene.. Solitude. What a beautiful life. Nature is our own best friend. Take care of yourself Heidi. What ever you decide, you are going to be ok. Much Love, Aki.
So, you're back on the mountain???!!!!! That is wonderful!!! Wish I was on a mountain!...heheh It's noisy here. So what you're saying is...you're this tired???...hehe
I suppose it is a bit jarring, going from peace and openness, to congestion and havoc. I was heartened that the things you noticed you missed the most, you were able to reclaim, once you returned to your mountain lair. Was the time away important, or just part of the life cycle?
@Blargaldalien It's all just part of life's cycle in the end ;) but I can say that this visit was important on many different levels and for many reasons. It was wonderful to be 'home' there as well as here. It's just more difficult to adjust (I feel) to the lack of noise, etc.... Peace & Quiet
@HeidiSaid Always go fr the quiet. Youu will be able to hear yourself think. Perhaps a lazy day of resting, and drifting in and out of sleep, will refresh you.
At some point, you ought to sit in your solitude, and draw up a to-do list. But then put down the pencil, and see how life follows or alters the order of things on that list.
@robs70986987 The music is wonderful Rob... and the music made more sense than my words at the time so I was happy when it just 'fit'. I didn't try, it just fit. Thank you. :)
You do look tired too Heidi. Its the silence and the sound of the wind that gives you a sense of yourself-its that way, too where I live-thousands of stars in the sky.
@benzone50 Thank you~ if felt good to feel somewhat creative. I do wish I could have done Rob a bit more justice, but I hope to make it up to him at some point!
yea..nature has no agenda it either is or it inst...its real magic.. Today I woke up to news show...this gorgeous sexy platinum blond in a blue short cut prom dress staring into the camera talking about the Taliban and its dangerous rise in Afghanistan. Yea...Im not tired...just fed up. What the fuck its Mothers day and I got better thinks to think about.
@Ipluckithard My mother (speaking of mothers day and who I already called) just loves the news and she likes it loud! At first I could hardly stand it. Into the second week it became background noise~ Enjoy the day!
rest.. its needed.. take time to look at the stars which im sure you do.. wish i lived out where they could be seen.. got one chance to see and its was awe inspiring...
@dominAyaku I think for many people, having that week or weekend away out of the city is all that is needed to appreciate all of life's luxuries. I enjoyed the pace - it's switching gears that has been tough!
You are fortunate to know and be able to live in the environment that nourishes your soul. I miss seeing all the stars I could see when I was a kid. Be well.
I can't even imagine that kind of quiet. I'm so used to constant noise; my ears tend to ring when it's silent and it drives me insane. I need some kind of noise to distract me from it.
Whenever I go back to Jakarta I miss the stars though. :)
You look tired, but you seem content. Sleep will come soon.
