  • FluteFan that was an absolutly great performance , Congrats from Gieco-s land . The land of sunshine . I do know it wasn-t so easy 4 u to translate the whole lyric and that means a double effort for you . Once again : Your version deserves five stars , no doubts ! Congrats !

  • UN HERMOSA VERSION!

  • HERMOSIA VERSION!

  • I'd laugh like crazy that day,

    manifesting them through life

    and we barely surviving ...

    survive ... to survive ...

  • How much tragedy over this land, I laugh now that I can hardly, I no longer have to laugh like a goldfinch, peace nor pine in January; I walk through this world to survive, ... surviving surviving I do not want to be just a survivor, I choose the day for my death. I am young flesh, blood red, good teeth and my semen urgent I want the life of my seed. I see a day not showing for peace in the world of animals,
  • I asked how to live, I asked surviving, said, surviving, I have a poem written more than a thousand times, on repeat as long as someone death on this earth proposes and manufacture weapons for war I tread these fields survive, all faced with danger, surviving, sad and wandering men surviving, survive ... to survive ... Long river not as long and that I rea as a goldfinch, I have some memory that hurts me and I can not forget what the Hiwoshima.

  • Thank you all very much for your positive comments!

  • When I saw you translated this song, I coudln't believe it. I'm from Argentine and I just couldn't imagine that it could be translated to English! I thought it would be at least ugly... Well, you totally surprised me. It's awesome!!! This song, when sung by León Gieco, gives me goosebumps, it makes me shiver. Your version did exactly the same. Beautiful!

  • Thank you so much. It was not easy to translate, and I thought the best way to do the song justice was to write about Canada in the same way Gieco writes about Argentina.

  • this is nice but its hilarious that she's playing a dean flying v acoustic! hahahaha ROCK ON!!!

  • I recorded it in my office before a meeting! I keep a guitar there to practise, and decided to take my video camera out and record it right there.

  • beautiful version !!!

  • Thanks for this !!! I was looking for the english translation, can you send it to me? It's a very nice version, canadianizing means globalizing it... and unfortunatelly what happened in Argentina happened in all Latin America nd still happens abroad... we need more adaptations of Gieco's Lyrics to local languages and cultures as yours!!! Thanks again!!!
