I think the best way of putting it is that the evidence for the theory evolution is convergent from; fossils, experiments, explanatory power, prediction and retrodiction, and observations etc. The theory of evolution by means of natural selection is an inductive model
As far as i am informed numberous empirical observations of speciations have been recorded in nature for plants (a few examples in the brackets) (taraxacum), birds (sylvia atricapilla), mammals (maderian mice) and fish (various cichlidae), not to speak of lizards, insects (e.g. tephritidae) or bacteria (e. coli)...

Im not a therapist or a physiologist, but i did have a far amount of experience with both when i was also suffering from depression. i believe a very weird variation of god when compared to other catholics, they think god created everything as it is. I believe that god created the first cell and everything evolved from that. but there has been times where i doubted his/her's existence.

The flaw though is Genesis and Noah's Ark. Yeah, sure you can interpret it metaphorically (which I did so it could make more sense) but that's just another way to evade rationality for comfort. Bottom line, keep asking questions and observe every answer. The sky is literally the limit. =P

@clunied Because some people have experiences that you'll never get unless it's happened to you. Try being a former athiest like me and being saved from suicide. The person who stopped me? No one. Definitely not me. I was going to cut my fucking wrists and die. But right out of nowhere, I suddenly felt the happiest feeling ever in my life and realized what I would miss out on if I had perished. Try explaining THAT to me. There's no way I would snap from being on the edge to sudden euphoria.

@UltimasIsland that's not unheard of, religion saves some people who are on the edge, its really the only good thing about religion now. Im not a therapist or a physiologist, but i did have a far amount of experience with both when i was also suffering from depression. This was made worse because about the same time i was moving from religious to atheist so my scenes of my purposes of life and what comes after was being dismantled, it was terrifying but i learned to accept it

Also to be technical, criticising creationism isnt attacking god or Christianity but a religious belief that is taken literally at odds with everything we know without faith. Evolution didnt destroy my religion and I believed in it and god at the same time for years.

@gato123452 Doing contrary to what God wants is sin.....and I don't know the real reason why God put a tree there. But God does. I have speculated though that either the tree was placed there so that when we were ready we could partake of the fruits. Or it was there simply for God to see if man would be faithful. But the third and most likely is that He simply willed it to be there. And He simply willed the fall of man. Just as an author creates a crisis to show people a purpose so God does.
