  • nice acoustic sound

  • wonderful

  • Great guitar work, but man... smile!

  • nice !

  • Thank you for the video, It helps me with my piano version, seeing some of the alternate chords.

  • i liked it

  • i got a songbook with this song. it looks really difficult to learn, and the chords look real advanced. what country does this song originate from?

  • The original composer was born in Turkey, but became a French citizen. So its actually a French song. In French, it is called Le Fuilles Mortes, and became a classic over there.

  • I may well be difficult to learn in a classical context, but it's usually the one of the first songs that jazz guitarists learn.

  • It may...

  • Would you mind doing a tutoral of this?

  • Check out Joe Pass playing Autumn Leaves. He improvises totally. Not a worked out arrangement.

  • parabens

  • your pro at this

  • you're awesome at guitar

  • 顔wwwwww

  • The tone is very heavy handed but nice arrangement. Some classical guitar lessons might help with the tone.

  • I don't mean to sound agressive, but do you know who you are talking to? Try looking at this man's other videos.

  • I've studied with Segovia and Pepe Romero. Do you know who they are?

  • I know who Segovia is, but not Romero. You have studied with him?

  • I've studied with both.

    Check out Pepe Romero

he is one of the top classical guitarists in the world.

By the way, no disrespect was intented.

He may have been a great player in his prime, but perhaps age and bad nail have done in his tone. Although Segovia kept his tone into his 90's

  • "Boldstrummer (1 month ago)

The tone is very heavy handed..."

But he's right, the tone isnt very good, why did he get the -5? -.-'

    Mid-level classical guitarist here.

  • THIS IS LOVELY!!!!

  • you rockzzz you know how play the guitar .

  • its ok.......much better than some things ive seen

  • =) lovely

  • Amazing.

  • fantastic, thanks a lot

  • are you reading the sheet music whilst playing this? either way its fantastic!

  • This guitar sounds a bit grumpy...

  • haha, love the tune and playing, but seriously, i could not help bustin' my gut laughing after reading this comment :)

  • @beerdeddi in a way.. i think it suites him.

  • 5 stars....

  • it remainds

me "un dia de noviembre", the strructure, dont know

  • tabs please

  • Have you tried looking for the tabs on my website?

  • There's a great .tef file of this tune which can be played with the free program TefView. This lets you see the tab AND the music AND you can watch a fretboard 'play-through'.

  • ♥

  • Beautiful!!!

  • Very nice!

  • Fantastic rendition, very pure in feeling and emotion.

Please ignore all the simpletons comparing chalk and cheese, they clearly don't understand what good music is!

  • OBA! Bien joue, monsieur! The original name of this song is "Les Feuilles Sans Bruit" or Noiseless Leaves...

  • I thought it was "dead leaves"

  • doesn't work as well in english

  • haha my bad I was making a sarcastic joke; they don't usually translate well through the internet. no offense meant, it was very well played in my opinion.

  • great!

  • Excellente!

  • love the way you play it so simpel, and your sound.

  • Autumn Leaves... One hears the song - if one knows the words - differently in one's youth when autumn is so far away. When it's not so far... one plays and hears it differently. It's not how I do the piece, but it is done with more to it than technique, and that is art.

  • you are the man!..

  • Sa majesté le ROI !

  • buenissimo!

  • i like the jazz one better, but nice job!

  • depressing sounding... he sounds like a classical guitar playing playing a jazz standard like 18th c bach. also, too may chord rolls.

  • Let's see how you play this song....

  • read the info..He is a classical guitarist...

i think he play it well done on his version,

try to show your version instead of speaking in no manner judging someone arts...

  • Judging the arts... right. People love to enjoy the arts, yet can't take criticism on it. I took time to watch the video, and I took time to comment on his playing. Why have comments at all if the guy who posted it plans on deleting anything critical.

Besides, I thought jazz guitarists are suppose to dislike classical guitarists...

  • Very nice. I like your style.

  • Great job! I'm playing this song at my school. But we do it in parts so its a tad easier but we go at 125 bpm so maybe it balances out but i dont know but good job!

  • Kind of presents a morbid feel... with the slow paced tempo and all, im sure thats what you were probably going for. Anyway well done though.

  • i think that i understand your attitude and your life

  • Kottából játsza vagy mit néz annyira ? :)

  • Nicely done. I struggle with the classical guitar every day. It kicks my teeth in, so it's a pleasure to hear someone who can REALLY play it.

  • simplicity

  • beautyful :D

  • Many thanks again - I just downloaded it from the website you give. Score plus tablature. I have been searching for the piece without success until now. Thanks again!

  • Many thanks for the tab link. I don't usually use tabs if the notes are available. Can I ask where you got the sheet music for it?

  • This arrangement is by Australian classical guitarist David Boddington.

    Sal

  • Hi Sal,

Thanks for posting your "Autumn Leaves" guitar video and other good guitar pieces. I enjoyed them. It really makes me want to play this song. I also enjoyed your Flamenco guitar music video. Thanks again.

  • where are you from ?

It seems that you're reading the tab at the same time ? i never could do this, except when it's very slow ^^, well still the tab is easier than the right notes. when i was playing piano, it was only by catching some notes on the sheet that made me remind what is in the next bar xD

  • I am reading from standard notation. I find it difficult to read from tab. The only reason I include it on any sheet music I write is that so many people rely on tab and nothing else. But when both tab and standard notation is on the same sheet my eyes follow notes, not the numbers.

    Sal

  • yep, so you got a classic formation to read the standart format right ? I did not -_- adn it's then still difficult. Still, you did not answer, where are you from ?

ABout the playing (i did not comment), it could be better from you. I mean, its liek your reading takes all your concentration instead of the notes you're pulling out with your fingers.

  • I live in Australia. It can always be better.

    Sal

  • Usually classical music players read the notes when they play.

  • Nice. I've been practising this myself. Perhaps I'll work up the courage to post my version when I'm more confident I've got it right. Good to hear your interpretation.

  • Long time without you put new videos with new songs and tabs. Greetings for Spain. You play quite well.

  • if u wanna the tabs,u can mail me :)

Falls du die Tabs willst, kannst du einfach mir mailen:)

  • The tabs are free to download at the website. Link is at the right of the video.

    Sal

  • super! i got it ,thx!!!

  • it's very well. could you share the tabs? thank you very much!

  • Yeah, this kind of magic is his soul:)

  • The funny with this man is that he has something in his play thats kind of magic, dosent mather with song he is playing im just melting. A real guitarist enjoys his instrument and the songs he/she plays not becaus he/she have to.

  • I like it.Its not perfect but it got this nice mood to it.Really nice.

  • respectable classic guitar holding, and great timing!

  • Yeah I have to learn this song and I have been looking for this on tabs too. This was my Grandparents song, and after my Grandmother died my Grandfather followed soon after, but before he went to be with his wife, Autumn Leaves haunted my Grandfather for the longest time.
