  • The only thing that I do not like about this video is that is portrays chiropractic as PAIN BASED. Yes, chiropractic helps you with pain, but the message that chiropractic is trying to send is: Chiropractic is to help you keep healthy, not just for pain

  • only problem with chriopractic is it doesnt make people spend billion on pharmacy drugs :O

  • How do I get this video? ? ?

  • Dull and not a surprise but worth giving a listen to.

  • Politics and who controls the flow of money. Just like anything else. That is the answer

  • I think the word complementary is better than alternative. Dont ditch conventional. But for joint pains chiropractic should be good.

  • @Ramshobraja Join pain relief is just a precipitant of chiropractics primary goal of relieving nerve interference so that all tissues of the body properly communicate with the brain and each other.

  • If that Canadian study is true then how come they dont pay for chiropractic through their government health service? Sounds like they must have really changed their minds since 1993. Any comment on that?

  • @servorules -Check out our new Healthcare reform, the Big Pharma rules and will Flourish, probably same worldwide!

  • @drbriangarrett

They don't pay for it because the big drug companies haven't found a way to profit from chriropractic care yet.

  • @servorules Fuck the Canadian Govt! ....that's the reason servicehimself. Chiropractic Now!

  • @servorules cuz pharmepsuedical fatcats are in bed with major Western countries. its all about money, they pay them off. They don't care about our health.

  • @PCEggo You told him (servorules) brother. The disallusioned pharmaceutical rep will protect his field till the last drug adverse reaction.

  • @servorules Maybe you should go read what happened then. Chiropractic WAS under the health care reform. They didn't like how patients had to wait MONTHS to get into their office. So they petitioned and removed themselves from the reform after a few years.

Any comment on that? *rolls eyes*

  • @servorules british Columbia is the only Canadian province to omit chiroproctic from it's health plan. Why is this? Just ask the medical beurocrats with politicians dicks in their asses. Chiropractic Now!

  • @servorules

Chiropractic care is covered by the Canandian Government Health Service and it is encouraged.

  • Even in chiropractic school I wasn't fully "on-board" with chiropractic. I resisted all they claimed it did, regardless of the evidence AND my own personal experience!! It wasn't until near the end of the first year when we watched a video of dogs, cats, and horses getting adjusted: They had a severe dysfunction, Doc would examine them, adjust them, bye-bye dysfunction. Why does it work better with animals? Because they don't play the mind games the nay-sayers perpetuate. No Nocebo. No Placebo.

  • I don't doubt that chiros can help and solve many problems, especially back issues, that an MD can't, but if it's not a central nerve/inflammatory issue (subluxation) that is causing another medical issue, or if the chiro isn't legit, then forget it. It's unfortunate that there are so many frauds out there, and a chiro that doesn't know his stuff shouldn't be messing with a spine. Likewise with an MD & his field of course.

  • Awesome!

  • Great video, but obvious to anyone who has been to a good DC; chiropractic works, period.

  • Excellent video!

  • Ditto. CHIROPRACTIC!!!

  • Hello Chiro47... Even the good Dr. Sam Homola (you know, the one you hate) would agree with this video on treating low back pain... he says... "22 research studies tested the effectiveness of spinal manipulation aganist low back pain" and the Rand Corporation panel concluded that it was. This is all in his book, so he can't be that evil.

  • Chiropractics cannot be bottled and sold by Multinational Labs, that's why mainstream health care doesn't like it.

For rationalists out there like me, I don't trust any alternative medicine **except** chiropractic. It doesn't make any magical claims, it's just mechanic movement of vertebrae, no magic drugs, no mind power, no faith, no bullshit.

  • yup, the ones with the biggest wallets/lobbyist\s win, sad world we live in, next thing you know the NRA will be telling you guns are perfectly safe, and people cause deaths, oops, never mind...

  • @petruza Beautiful!! Chiropractic!!

  • not just back pain they dont focus in that it helps or heals many other "chronic" conditions, that can be helped, im paying for care but ohip SHOULD pay, they are willing to pay for surgery & drugs but not preventative medicine that is safer (safe) & effective!

  • Insurance is not necessary, even though thier profits would skyrocket if they covered chiropractic more completely. Most of my patients stand to save money by paying out of pocket.

As for access to care - I give my direct cell phone number to all my patients, or many docs have thier office number forwarded directly to them. I have had patients call me at 10:30 at night and at 6:30 in the morning.

  • insurance companies want you to go to medical doctors so you take pain medication and do surgeries so they make money. if you go to a chiropractictor, ur back can heal naturally on its own, and drug companies dont make money.

  • Access to care is the key... MDs do provide emergency room service. There patients are not made to wait. Your suggestion of adding a chiropractor to the emergency room is a great idea. As for the 24 hour answering service, how often does a chiropractor check it? Do they check it at Midnight or 3 AM in the morning? Again, when you are in severe pain and it is at night and you can't sleep, it is then that you need the service. Making someone wait until 8 or 9AM the next morning seems lacking.

  • My service calls me 7/24 but sometimes we can't do anything until they get the inflammation under control, hence, either we get the ability to prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs or get an MD as a partner...we will see what the best is for the patients!

  • @drbriangarrett Need to prescribe antiinflammatory or hang with an MD? What's wrong with advising the person to self apply ice packs (cryotherapy) @ 15 minutes on/15 minutes off to consolidate inflammation till you see the person in the morning?

  • You're absolutely right, but unfortunately, often people have had the problem for hours, days, and even weeks in some cases until it finally pushes them over the edge and they seek care. This often occurs at night when the mind is free of the trials of daily life and pain seems magnified.

  • Is there anyway I can get a copy of this video?

  • yes, this is an excerpt from the Kansas Chiropractic Association video, you can get it off their site!

send me anything ou ever find that says the same thing, ok?!

  • I'm not sure hours open are a precurser to respect.A General practitioner MD isn't open on the weekends either!

Maybe we could have Chiropractors in the emergency room?!?

Personally, I have a 24 hour answering service for just such an occasion!

  • This video is great and very true. The majority of people in America are brainwashed into thinking they are being treated with the best health care in the world via the the medical system. If only they knew the truth...

  • 22 years of debilitating migraines! subjected to research for pain killers & ended developing strong allergies to them, horrible side effects, ongoing E.R. visits & hospital stays. Someone suggested visiting a Chiropractor I agreed since I had nothing to lose anymore to my surprise I have not had any migr. in the past 3 mos not one! the very first visit the pain was gone almost immediately. I just wished I knew long ago. Free of migraines & NO side effects! what else could I ask my life is back.

  • Think of the millions worldwide that suffer needlessly!!

    Tell your friends!

  • @drbriangarrett

im 19 and my bottom of mah back has a pain when i lift heavy objects, only when i go into a bending my back..felt this for the passed 2yrs now. do i needa go get it check? because im only 19, so idk what would happen when im 40. haha..that wouldnt be so good i think

  • Chiropractic cured me from 18 years of migrane headaches. I can't thank chiropractic enough!!!

  • beautifully said! The power that creates the body heals the body!!

  • After I had a really sore back, my back, even after the sore muscles healed, still hurt around the shoulder blade. It popped a lot and always had a slight burning pain. Just one treatment fixed it. He realigned the entire spine and then pushed the ribs back into place. A little soreness the night after the treatment but then no pain or discomfort since! Best $40 ever spent.

  • chiropractic saved me from low back surgery

  • Chiropractic help me to walk

  • Great work! Viv is always articulate and well spoken. I am proud to have him as a spokeman for this amazing profession.

  • If it's great for back pain why not the rest of the body? The back or spine is the core of your being and the main link between your brain and body. In her book Molecules of Emotion, Cadice Pert Ph.D says that the spine is the container of the subconscious mind. Even Hippocrates, the father of medicine said look to the spine for the cause of disease... If it's good for the core of your being and the subconscious mind it should be concidered as key to a healthy existance.
