  • @lovesfreedomtoo, Thanks! How strange that I thought his character's name was Toby or Robie or something...that's what it sounded like Dennis Quaid was saying. He is very handsome, but doesn't like anything like his famous dad or uncle!

  • I have see the movie last night on belgian television :) great movie :)

  • @AlexNicotero, thanks for uploading one of my all-time favorites. I have this on VHS but I have no way of playing it anymore. :) It just hits me right in the gut.

Do you or anyone else know the name of the actor who plays the rookie firefighter? He's the one with the dark hair, who accompanies Frank to both of the fires (you know, the one that Frank said "Welcome to the company, kid" at the beginning of the movie). I looked on IMDB but couldn't find any info.

  • @misseskimothespitz Jordan Bridges, he played Gib Gibson

  • oh so only positive comments get posted? fuck the moron who took away the right to opinionate on and discuss movies

  • lame. whoever played jojn is a terrible actor. amd iy shouldnt have gotten so far fetched with the future/past time change. made it too unbelievable and would have screwed the movie, if jon sullivan hadnt already ruined it

  • @placktar are you stupid? Check out the actor who played Jon ( Jim Caviezel) in the passion of Christ, and tell me he cannot act.

  • Well, at least this ended well, trying to change the future for better, wich he did, but it was hard work, phew.

  • wow wow wow tis movie should win la palme d'or a cannes merci beaucoup that was the best movie i've ever seen in my life xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Great stuff, thanks ever so much Alex for the time and effort involved.

I trawl through comments with the hope of a recommendation as to what to watch next. Usually not forthcoming. So here as mine; Butterfly Effect and Source Code. Both great time travel films and both on tube. But if you want something with a solid timeline and werewolf, have a look at Ginger Snaps or Let Me In.

  • I have always wanted to see this movie and thanks to you I got to. I just lost my dad May 3rd and am devastated. He was here at my home that Monday, and talked to him on the phone and he went to bed and passed away. I am a Ham radio operator too, and also a radio broadcast announcer. He always tuned in to hear me on my FM station. There is magic in radio. And in fact did a broadcast just for him. May he forever hear me speak to him over those magic radio waves, and Jesus give him the radio..

  • @radioman1075 God Bless you and your family

  • I watched this movie after finishing the OAT. It was such a great movie I almost started crying after John's dad (in the future) shoots Jack or whatever his name is.

  • I watched this movie after finishing the OAT. It was such a great movie I almost started crying after John's dad (in the future) shoots Jack.

  • I have never seen a more emotional movie in my life. I'll admit to crying. My dad died five years ago in a car accident. What I'd give to change his fate... I can't even put into words. This is such a beautiful movie. I miss you, dad. I'd kill to be able to speak with you just one more time.

Thank you so much for uploading this. Definitely made my night.

  • What a fantastic story!!

  • This ham radio thing and aurora anomaly would've come in handy when my sons father died in a car crash when he was 3 yrs old but we may not see him again in this life but as believers in Jesus Christ, we will see him again in heaven and what a reunion that will be!!!

  • Thank you so much for having this movie on here!! I never even heard of it until a week or two ago when I was looking up James Caviezel movies!!! This movie was so intense the whole way through and it only kept on getting better and better!! I am so happy because everyone got what they deserved in the end!!!! Amazing!!!

  • @ToFMee your welcome

  • @Jcorrsfan your welcome

  • @macklebee87 your welcome

  • @kyteddy1 your welcome

  • Ok...so I had my doubts going in but now I gotta say, pretty good fuckin movie!

  • The ending of this movie made me cry when I first saw it.

  • well of course we know that the past cannot be undone, so this movie is not supposed to be like that. but ah well.... ^_^

  • Love this fabulous movie, cried through most of it...funny how one thing changed history for everyone. I wish I could reach my family that have already passed away on a CB radio as I miss them SOOOO MUCH....just wanna talk to them!!

  • I remember watching this movie with my dad. Brings back so many memories............

  • One of the films that doesn't need to be remade :)

  • i'm going to give my dad a huge hug every now and then <3

  • ewwwww... that part with his hand was so gross, LOL :-D

  • really good movie, fresh concept, good acting, but I bet Einstein is rolling over in his grave with what they did to the theory of relativity.

  • Great movie thanks for sharing

  • @Rileysport1 your welcome

  • FAN-tastic!! When John gets up to hug his dad, the wedding ring on his left hand speaks volumes. One of the best movies of all time!

  • Does someone know this song (name and singer)? Thanks

  • @naadulka Garth Brooks-When You Come Back To Me Again

  • @sirkhana1 Especially the part where his hand shrivels up and disappears. That's totally freaky!

  • @chivista316 your welcome

  • Great movie very great

  • This my 3rd time watching on here - love this movie - not sure if I commented before - but thanks so much for sharing!

  • Thank you so much for posting. If I have that radio and get to contact my dad, I will tell him to quit smoking.

  • @felisestilo todays verson of this movie will be a an old iphone with a father and a son texting

  • @felisestilo your welcome

  • 0 dislikes...thats how good this movie is....yeah

  • it's weird that Satch is still young thirty years later, haha.. but this movie is the best i've seen.

  • One of the best movies, with two of the best actors. Its got action, romance, suspense, sentimentality, and sci-fi. What more could you ask for? :)

Oh, and Dennis Quaid looks extremely good looking in this movie.

  • "I'm still here Chief"

    :'(

I miss my dad so much

  • @karlospatriot Yeah, I miss my Dad, too. He died of brain cancer on New Year's Day 1990. I had that kind of father/son relationship with my Dad, just like Frank had with "Little Chief." I think that's why this movie strikes such an emotional and positive chord with me. Dennis Quaid such a great job in this movie, just like he does in "The Rookie." If you haven't seen, "The Rookie," rent or buy it on DVD. You'll be glad you did!

  • @DesertGOP ok, i'll try to look for that movie. thanks

  • @karlospatriot I bet you he misses you two ;(

  • ok i vote best fucking movie ever and i mean ever anyone care to explain why this is so underrated?

  • I love the moment between John and his father Frank. John's parents are very good parents to him, which is why John wanted to changed the past to save both his parents. Those are the parents that are worth saving. Not like mine. If my parents died because of an accident or a murder, I would leave things just the way they were.

  • not watched this film in years, but it's still as awesome as i remember XD, nice on for uploading it :D

  • Ah pump action shotguns. Teaching burglars, psychopaths and home invaders who the fucking boss is since 1897.

  • Nothing beets the moment when u see ur dead father because of his old fire depatment radio and u havnt seen him in 30 years but u saved his life twice and the moment u do see him he avenges ur dead mother ,who is now alive, by shooting the sico path who killed her ten years ago. :)

  • i love this movie

  • I love you guys!!!!!!

  • One thing I noticed is that the shotgun changes at the end there: when Frank cocks it you can see a sight on the front, but when he shoots Jack dead, that sight is gone.

  • @DigimonFan1 cmon man, dont ruin it!

  • almost cry when 2:10 !!

  • The most amazing thing about this movie as that just 1 year later- even the 1999 part of the story was extremely outdated due to the Tech Bubble Crash.. YAHOO went from $230 share to practically nothing. Yahoo is just an overhyped SCAM just like 99% of stocks in SCAMerica.

  • Bellissimo film. Grazie per averlo postato

  • Thanks for sharing!! Such a great movie! Just ran across this movie... makes me want to spend more quality time with my family. thanks<3

  • @mskinetik your welcome

  • I loved that moment when old Frank showed up.

  • One night I wasn't able to sleep. So I decided to watch the TV and this movie was on. I became interested and watched the whole movie. My heart was heavy and my soul was melting. Then at the end when senior Sullivan shot the villain and embraced his son and said, " I am still here, Chief", I cried. Now when i watch this video, tear again swells up in my eyes. I have never ever felt so emotional for any movie before. Am I more closer to my father now? You bet I am.

  • @ran47jan Heck I would give you ten thumbs up if I could, that's wonderful. Thanks for sharing!

  • Omg, my famz loved it! Thanks for the post! Dx

  • Thanks uploader, great film and nicely done. One scene spoilt it a little for me - when he electrocutes the killer in a pool of coffee by throwing that wire. Otherwise coooool film! Why have I never heard of it before? The wife turns up in LOST doesn't she as that blonde lady? By the way, I might be a bit slow but what was the significance of the car headlight being smashed by the baseball at the end? W.

  • @Wooodygun - I know this reply is a long time since your comment/question and maybe you have your answer already but Gordo's headlight being smashed was just to show that he was driving a Mercedes because he had remember the word "Yahoo" as his vanity plate read "1 YAHOO".

  • been a very long time since i have watched this movie. i get very emotional when he is talking to his dad on the radio. not sure why. probally because of my past. never seen my real dad untill i was 15 yrs. old. the visit lasted 20 min. am 50 now, can not really recall his face. he died last year. i did not go to his funeral. i really could not even relate to having a dad since i never had one. something i will never have. but, i can try better with my own son.

  • Thanks for the upload. My grandfather told me about this movie a few days ago, and I had really wanted to watch it. And I'm glad that I did. This movie is great in my book. 5/5

  • @warman13x your welcome

  • hey man..

thanks for the upload.. i´ve really enjoyed the movie..

    thanks again.

  • @darclionheart hey no problem

  • hey what it's the name of song in the end of this film?? I need to know ... someone can said me???

  • @tocornal008 when u come back 2 me again is the song

  • "I'm still here Chief"

    Beautiful

  • You know, it's kind of ironic. By changing the time line, the protagonist prevented the original timeline from happening, and by not allowing the original timeline to happen, he would never have done the events that comprised the bulk of this movie...

    Oh God, IT'S A PARADOX!!!

  • All I can say is..Thanks..good flic

  • @Shadofx your welcome

  • one of my boyfriend's favorite movies! i liked it!!

  • What a... B e a u tiful movie!.... if the World was that peaceful as the ending of the movie there... would be No War and Crimes. One of the best movies ever made! 5 Stars!

  • Great movie! Except that I hate baseball.

  • hes lucky that after he survived not getting cancer 10 years ago, that he didn't get hit by a car 5 years ago instead later on since he quit the smoking. great movie

  • Great movie! Thanks for posting. What an awesome take on the altered timeline concept. Instant visual feedback from past decisions. Too cool. There's a message in this: the power of choice can alter your destiny and the destiny of countless others. Choose wisely.

  • @AlanSessler

In fact, there is a theoretical concept known as the Butterfly Effect, which states that if you were to go back in time, and change even one decision, or even do something as insignificant as kill a butterfly, it will start a chain reaction of events that drastically alters the present.

  • @frankydman I remember when the Butterfly Effect came out, I was hoping it was a modern version of Ray Bradbury's Sound of Thunder, probably the first time travel story that really blew my mind. I did see the SoT movie, which was okay but definitely took about an extra hour's artistic license than the short story did.

  • @frankydman See the movie, The Sound of Thunder. It is all about time travel and the Butterfly Effect.

  • @AlanSessler your welcome

  • I love this movie because this is one thing everyone wishes for.

  • "I'm still here Chief!" One of the best movies ever!

  • Never mind about the scientific mumbo-jumbo, it's simply a superb movie about family and protecting the people you care about. One of the most underrated movies of the 90's. Thanks for the upload alex.;)
