I NEED this. Diesel is the best damn thing in the world. Just like my 88 4runner v6, if I came across one of these I would never let it go... Id pay 20,000 for a truck in mint condition with a 2lt. Dont care of the value!
It is true that they were known for reliability and longevity, but output at best was just barely adequate. Not really suited for highway speeds of today either. They can do it...but don't be in a hurry. Mine fits right in with this, reliable, but not too powerful.

This is one hell of an engine, i got one in my 95' Hilux/Taro.
Never had any problems with it, only a few minor oil leaks and a water leak from the radiator.
The engine has gone 590,000 km and the car has gone a little longer than the engine, but it bears no mark of mileage, GREAT ENGINE FOR SURE :D

i have one of these engines in my 86 yota. it seems gutless though. do you have issues with power at all?
