He's very whiny and nasal when he sings. Vocal runs are not his strong point, his voice keeps breaking when he tries, so he probably shouldn't use so many. It could just be the key he was singing in, though. If he would have brought it down a bit it may have worked out better for him.
Um, that was just VERY karaoke and he needed to take the whole notes down a key and maybe that would've helped. But he seemed VERY nervous and shaky. He was one of the lows of the night for me, but thats just my opinion. But I do have to admit, nice falsetto. If he had picked a better song, brought it down a key, and controlled the vibrato down, it could have been ALOT better.

Yeah, I agree. He got voted off WAY too early, as he was one of the top five singers from season one. Overall, he isn't very smooth throughout songs, but his range is absolutely phenomenal (check his version of "I'll Be" on the AI CD), reminiscent of Tevin Campbell.
Yea, he's good but he's gay, and was one of the first contestants to come out to perform and thats why he didn't get enough votes. He didn't say he was gay but anybody with good sense could tell that he was atleast bi.

I recognized the name Ejay Day. I have the American Idol 1 cd album and Ejay sings "I'll Be" in the album and I love it.
I would like the season arranged more together so I can listen to the contestants who were in American Idol season 1.
