I have gripes!

I can't believe they didn't apply somekind of Getting Things Done features in Outlook. Removed Projects (Entourage) which sucked but they could of made that a bit less of mem-hogger, more modern/usable.

I see that you can make folders in Tasks, which maybe that can be used as a Projects>Tasks type GTD. I use this system in Pro & Personal use so we'll see.

The interface also looks a bit stuck, some very nice new features but it does need more modernizing.

App icons suck.

If you have a large enough share using a credible alternative (iWork, OO, PDF etc) even Windows users will end up considering alternatives. That's a whole lot more than a mere 10-20%, that's the whole market at risk if you don't maintain your position!

All about iWork? Numbers is so shit it defies belief. Case in point: if you make a graph of some data it plots it on graph axes by just dividing the data range into a given number of chunks which have tick marks at, for example, 0, 7, 14, 21 rather than at divisions like 0, 5, 10, 15, 20. How are you meant to read that?

Mac 2011 is all about VBA for Excel ... without it a spreadsheet is just a static scratchpad. Finally I'll be able to ditch my parallels setup, write functions & macros.

I don't know if hate is the right word, but they sure are "enemies" when it comes to OSs. This is simply a way for Microsoft to compete with Apple in Apple's own OS.

You want to get your product out to as many people as possible and Microsoft's making apps for Mac is a part of that strategy.

The best way to work efficient in office is to kick out all computers. With each thrown computer there are two free hands, at least 300 Watts less power consumption, the same amount of paper lying around on the table, noone can waste work time in the internet, there is no need for administration. Think about it: There is a investment in a system, which takes more, as it gives. This is my own conclusion after 25 Years with computers.

Throwing out the computers might speed up some workers, but I think it'll slow down a company as a whole though. So many things are done through the internet right now (Customer Services, Orders, you name it) that either cannot be replaced by paperwork or will be much more time consuming when replaced by paperwork.

I do agree that some things have gone a bit astray since the arrival of the internet, especially in regards to customer relationships. Buying something has become something you do "In the meantime", whereas we used to get informed, take our time and such.
