i know, I first went when I was 7 and it was stunning and stayed another 4 times in the same wing - but went back 3 years ago and it just didnt look the same - even so, still the most hospitable hotel ive been to - I went back after 6 years and the doorman still remembered my name!
yep england :) ive been to amaya hills in kandy thats about an hour journey up a hill (well it felt like an hour...) went there when it was called the kandyan - AMAZING view - if u go back, u have to go to mahaweli reach hotel - and also to FAB. its a cake shop...but u will NEVER have chocolate cake like that again...

You're from England? There are many english tourists there. The hotel I liked most there was the Amaya Lake. Really nice!
