You don't see gn stock unless there just keeping the car for value. I was stock vs stock if you could find one which people who race them don't race stock. Hell no would a standard car fuck with a car with 800 it would have to be auto also. When you get in to hp number like that you want auto.

If by standard you mean a manual then yes the stock 200r4 sucks but it is one of the first upgrades on a turbo buick. I have a Art Carr 800hp 200r4 in mine and his 9" TC... lol. There is no stick car out there that will shift faster then me, its physically impossible. Plus my boost stays at 25psi the entire race.... lol

My friend has a Corvette ZR1 and stock I think it gets somewhere in the neighborhood of 638bhp which is probably about 615-620whp. Not bad man. If you still had your Stang, I would have reccomended the 5.0 Swap for it.

Even GNs with mild bolt-ons are tough to smoke from a dig. What makes the GN special with LC2 engine, IMO, is the massive low end torque = blinding acceleration. Generally though, they suffer on the top end.

I have an 86GN and I'm in the high 11's, 11.88 is my best time. I should be faster, but I've got a leak somewhere as I'm losing boost. I'm set to 23lbs, but when I trap in the 1/4 mile I'm at about 17lbs. So if I was running at full boost I should be around 11.6 to 11.7. If u do run and record, please post it. Thx.
In this video I'm running 315/35/17 MT drag radials. I also have a stereo in the car (about 100lbs added weight) and they person I bought the car from had eibach lowering springs in it. They absolutely kill traction since there is no weight transfer. I have the stock springs I'm going to throw back in I just have to get around to actually doing it.
My car has a KB 2.6H on it running ~18psi with all the supporting intake/exhaust/fuel mods and transmission work to hold the power.
