  • So pure and natural. THX

  • best version of this song hands down.

  • Gives me chills every time. Wow.

  • So nice.

  • lol awesome song.

  • quite a song about a man and his mule named dan

  • Here represented is the safe clear cut heroic values of 40s/50s America in song. Ok it was the McCarthyite era when middle America became paranoid over leftism, however some great popular story telling numbers came from those less complicated days.

  • Looking at these photos is making cry .It's sad

  • I heard this in Rango and instantly thought of Fallout: New Vegas.

  • @GrizBearman i wish the world was still like it was in the western days no one would be classier or under class they would still have cowboy hats and boots and thats all you need.

  • wow man areal talent hes atrue wonder and credit.

  • je connaissais pas cette chanson par hank ont dirait un son actuel.il a etait toujour en avance .superbe .

  • i have no stool, so dry's my tool, i have no drooooool... nor cool clear water

  • I've always worshipped Hank...but never knew he recorded this It's magic! God bless you Pearly for letting me in!

  • and yes rango brought me here hate to say it but yes its true.

  • @joshacio actualy thats a marty robins song many tried to do including johnny cash. I prefer the original marty version, thiers a cheap newer video thats not comparable to the one with the record on youtube with no pics wich is the original version.

  • @joshacio my bad originaly done by sons of the pioneers but the marty robbins version is much cooler, just look for the original record version not the video of the 70s one.

  • @joshacio hanks is the version featured in rango but not the best.lol.

  • hank is so good its stupid.

  • Every Wednesday...the water comes!

  • rango brought me here?

  • hypnotic voice. though only 27, he sounds like a virile man in his mid 40's, at the peak of his physical abilities, yet steeped w/ the experience of life. its all packed into each tone he hits.

  • Hank so completely captures the desperation and loneliness of the character in the song that you believe that he is living it himself. In fact he was.

  • without rango ill never know about him and his best songs

  • Marty Robbins has a great version of this also. Hank gives it a really good old vintage sound yet marty adds some good harmonies to it whilst keeping it vintage

  • classic..simple,,the way it should be..from the heart..

  • My favorite version as well.

  • This very awaking song very very good and beautiful water. Its all about hope of life that depends on water

  • "Cool Water". One of the best songs Hank has ever sung. That voice, that strum on the old martin guitar. Can never be beaten.

  • Rango

  • thank you rango.

  • I love this song! truely! Very nice!

  • Rango

  • @travisrunyon Rango?

  • @paleboy1231 haha yeah this song is in the movie Rango! its really weird

  • @paleboy1231Yeah..it's that stupid cartoon movie that came out a few months ago, and fell flat on it's face.

  • @Labaron26 $242 million at the box office, a profit of over $100 million, is falling flat on its face?

  • @Labaron26

It definitely did not fall flat on it's face.

  • Hank's the best. The true King of country music.

  • Hank, why'd you die on us boy? You were supposed to be immortal....

  • @Zeratul723 he will be immortal in the country music world......

  • theres the king!

  • I think this is the one they used in the Rango movie during the dance scene

  • @LaGrandeBeaute Pretty sure it is. That's what I came here for, anyway, so it'd damn well better be >:(

  • Hank Williams has way too many good songs to choose just one as my favorite.

    DEATH TO THE RASCAL FLATTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @HoneySuckleOnMyBalls I've found about 160 songs that Hank recorded and most of them he wrote and put on my playlist. Very good songs.

  • just wow

  • Hank was the most expressive 'non-african american' voice in 20th century rock music that i've heard, alongside Roky Erickson....

    Brilliant.

  • Thank you for sharing!!

  • Second favorite song. I'm Lonesome I Could Cry is number one.

  • there are instrumentals missing like the dobro, there are other versions of this by Hank

  • there are instrumentals missing

  • Best version EVER!!

  • @rebulun I am partial to Autry's but this is just gorgeous.

  • @rebulun I totally agree.

  • "Cool Water". One of the best songs Hank has ever sung. That voice, that strum on the old martin guitar. Can never be beaten.

  • i love hank's old music

  • @MrNrog1 My dad's and my favorite singer of all time. I could listen to his music all day. You feel every word he sings.
