I do not think pageants are bad...But I think some of these pageants are not good! What happened to natural beauty, or even inner beauty! At such a young age, they can make these things more fun for girls!! They seem to have self-esteem problems that they are taking out on their kids. I've been in 'reality shows' aswell, so I know how that happens... They sit around like wolfs, waiting for something to go wrong... And then they let all the normal stuff out, and show only all the wrong on tv.
I don't agree with all when it comes to pagents, but I can imagine girls love it. It's like a sport to them

I think I would like child pagents a lot more if parents didn't feel the need to do things like getting their children stuff like fake tans, fake teeth, and fake hair. (Oh, and if the cost of entering was actually LESS than the possible prize money.)
I think one of the biggest issues is that most of the emphasis is put on being "prettier" than everyone else and, of course, winning, instead of just having fun.

@ColdClamChowder there are pageants where the girls cannot wear makeup, fake teeth, fake hair, or have a spray tan, natural pageants. I also think the dresses have to be less sparkly and everything. But you can't win money in natural pageants, so I guess there's pros and cons haha :D

Those parents should be arrested. It's incredible how they exploit their kids - they make those poir 5, 6 years old girls look like dwarfs. Even worse, like prostitute midgets.
