I am one of the biggest SW fans out there and IMO, Lucas is a true genius. I also understand his frustration in getting very little support from the studios for 'Red Tails.' However, there are thousands of would-be actors, writers, producers, etc. out there that can't even get past the front gates of the Hollywood studios. They get doors slammed in their faces every day, day after day. The studios made a busines decision and Lucas is acting a bit like an arrogant, spoiled brat.

I love this! I love seeing the young actors speaking and learning from their elders. I think it's great that Lucas/Hemmingway are unapologetically and with great focus calling these men American heroes, which they are. I just don't want to see the actual director of the movie, Hemmingway, get completely overshadowed by Lucas being involved.

@HitmanAssassin11 ..The movie was Miracle at St. Anna (2008) we cant consider this a true all black cast out of the 16 characters there are only four black character (while I admit the four are part of the six main characters, the interviewer being non-black ..this movie is set as a mystery with cut away flashback scenes war action regarding the incident at a historic point. no more action then full metal jacket or big red one...so no that dosnt meet any standard..good try

SW: Ep.1 has to be my second favorite star wars movie of all time, hell, even one of my favorite movies of all time. Ep. 3 was a classic and Ep. 2 focused more on a 'side-story' that I believe fit in perfectly. Respect a legend when you see one. (not directed entirely to you, mostly to the unappreciative fans.) I also saw this movie and I very much enjoyed it.

RED TAILS! WILL... be a movie epic. It is ashame that hollywood would rule out the fact that they can still make a fantastic movie with an all African-American cast, as apossed to an all white cast. However Lucas is known for getting extremely rich off and then fat/lazy. He totally fucked up the last Indiana Jones film and the 1-3 Star Wars films., because he would sit on his ass and do every single thing with CGI unlike the older films he made when he was young and less fat.

Believe it or not you can film real planes in close formation and severely damage one, look at the TDKR Prologue. You could make cheap p51 fake glider, blow it up over a desert. You could have 2 planes flying close together over a hanger exploding.

There isn't many movies about WW2 fighters that will have a budget like this one meaning if it had a real film maker behind it, it would have actually had some amazing REAL things in it. Unfortunately it will have ridiculous impossible camera angles with the CGI that totally give it a fake feeling.
