I made this soup today. It was very delicious with more seasoning. If you use water it will be bland, Based on the comments of two of the users (thank you) I would have to agree with them. I used 6 cups a water, one can of chicken broth, and I put a tablespoon of Minor's chicken stock. It turned out perfectly. It was not salty, I actually added more salt to my individual bowl, & I'm not a salt person. Great recipe, thanks Laura & others for rating, it was excellent quality soup.

Ok I wrote that I made this chowder and I thought it was blah,but my husband LOVED IT! He asked that I make it again soon.So it's good just not my favorite but it's my husbands favorite.

I made the corn chowder,never had it before.It was ok,but I guess I found it alittle bland,maybe if I make it again I would use a chicken broth not water.

I love that in all the videos she makes, she uses pots that we know are used. Not like other cooking shows, where they use new pots fresh out the box. Laura uses what most people have in their kitchens. Love her recipes!

@asdfoiyn I made this yesterday.I used half and half instead of heavy cream in milk cartons(not whipping cream) I have to say I found the chowder kind of bland.You could leave out the cream,but I think it would need a broth instead of water.
