This is what I'm talking about!!! You play this song slow with passion. Marone hard plucks through it as if he's practicing, and I don't "smell" the flowers. I was hoping to find a version that was more heart felt than Franco Morone's rendition of his OWN composition. Your version is what I pictured in my mind when I first heard Morone do this. Thank you, great job!!!
i love acoustic guitar music like this, i can't decide which 1 i lyk more watfalls or flowers of ayaco, i think it's cool we've got the same last name, well done sir.
Cant stop listening to this, a wonderful composition and the way you play it is brilliant. I havent heard many guitarists who can transmit so much feeling into their playing. Every note you play means something, if that makes any sense :D I wish I could play this with the same feeling as you do. Great job.
Great performance for a great composition: really very good playing!...I like Franco Morone too: do you know "L'inconnu de limoise"?... I play it as "Pipe in the grave" (also I with a A25!!...).
wow wow :) what a tune /melody it moved me bigtime it hit me right in my heart&soul and your guitar playing is outstanding 5 star from me okee peace8love :D
Les is a great guitarist and plays flawlessly. This song is an enigma to me though. An Italian guitarist (Franco Morone) writes a Celtic tune and gives it a title with a Japanese name (Ayako). The story of Ayako is very intriguing in itself. I wonder if it had anything to do with the writing of this beautiful song.
Thanks so much for explaining the title to me. I don't know if anyone else was wondering about it but I have been Googleing for a couple of days trying to figure it out. I guess I need to buy the CD.
Hi.I really enjoyed that. Reminiscent of Andy Mc Kee's lovely "For My Father". I really like this tuning a lot. I find it good for composing both melodic and rhythmic tunes but I have only posted one on youtube so far. Good to see you using the tuning too and so well.
Fantastic tune and flawlessly played. It's one of those rare tunes that can relax you and keep you awake at the same time. Thanks for letting us hear it.
Yeah, the unfortunate reality of making an album is that you generally have to tour and market like crazy to sell it. Well, I'll be watching iTunes in the meantime, trying to learn this piece and dreaming about owning my own McIlroy someday;)
Thanks for the comment! I'm sure that in the near future I'll release something - but it will be an ITunes type download. A friend had 500 CDs pressed, the sold a few, gave some away...and made a coffee table out of the rest!!

Thanks for your comment, much appreciated.
Franco Morone explains the title in the insert of his "Melodies of Memories" CD.
Apparently he first performed the tune at a venue near to the Memorial Park in Ayaco, Japan, which is very close to Hiroshima.
He named it after the yellow flowers that were presented to him before the concert.
