  • She's obviously a good cook and so thin too.

  • you are very cute, I am hungry. I wanna eat your teriyaki

  • do u just use regular sugar or the powder sugar

  • thank you for sharing... :-)

  • the pepper you use was black pepper or red pepper

  • @jets137931 - Black or white pepper.

  • Great job...Thanks!!

  • I think this is the best teriyaki chicken cooking tutorial I've ever seen. Everything seems to be so simple! I'm wondering though - what if I have a bottled teriyaki sauce? Should I use it the same way as you did or do I have to dilute/thicken it somehow? It's the YAMASA Teriyaki sauce marinade & B.B.Q.

  • @Panczekolada - I haven't used a Teriyaki sauce, but I think it has all the seasoning already, I'm not sure if that brand is thickened. You can try and fry the chicken my way and just add the sauce and see how it turns out.

  • @LinhHayman

I've done everything your way except for one thing - I've marinaded the chicken in my sauce for an hour(so it would get that slight brown tint) and it came out delicious! I didn't have to dilute or thicken the sauce, given that it reached the same state as yours but the dish came out a bit too salty. Should I blame it on the marinading or the ingredient proportions? Would adding some sugar be a bad idea?

Also - thanks for the tutorial - incredibly simple and great effect! 10/10

  • @Panczekolada - Thank you! Maybe try less soya sauce?? Let me know how that turns out :)

  • I wanted to say thank you for sharing this recipe, it came out really great.

  • OMG you are sooooooo HOT! and that accent mmmmmm

  • great video.

  • Thanks for the 'direct' help you gave me....!

  • i made it but after putting on my plate the sauce became rock hard like it freezed?

do u know why or make i cooked it for too long?

  • @Navin583 - Hi, you cooked it for too long, try to reduce the time :)

  • fill it hahaha

  • looks nice and tasty: both the recipe and the babe. ^^

  • Great video

  • whaaaaaaat... teriyaki chicken with a happy ending!!! lol that's what it looked like at the beginning of the video!

  • why no sake or mirin?

  • Oh i think i will try this for sure! yummy!

  • Looks really good

  • that looks great. This summer imma learn how to burn me up some Chicken Yakmi from my Grandma this should be good

  • niiiiiiccceeee!

  • i don't use sugar, well, just bcoz i don't have any left at home. but it still turned out delicious! i think the sauce can also be like gravy for the mash potatoes too. very lazy, student-friendly recipe!

  • nice stove!

  • Is Teriyaki really just soy sauce and sugar??

  • @wallykav1516 I believe it has ginger in it as well.

  • You act very Spanish like. jajaaj

  • that's looks good.....check out my latin dishes;)

  • Actually, how the japanese people do it traditionally is quite simple too. equal amount of shoyu, mirin and brown sugar. Some also add a bit of sake to the sauce. But I like your videos, btw! you do look kind of "naughty" in the beginning:P

  • @MrQuagmire26 lol yeh you are right, she does look naughty, kind of: ''...cook the thighs, baby''

  • Comment removed

  • if i want it real sweet how much cups of sugar di i add

  • @MsAzianpride - I think about 3/4 cup to 1 cup sugar will make it very sweet

  • There's more ingredients that goes into the mix with soy sauce to make teriyaki sauce. About to make another batch of teriyaki sauce for the Superbowl, l make the sauce separately and store it in squeeze bottles. Cut the chicken (like in this video), and soak it in the sauce. I'll also massage the teriyaki into the chicken, before leaving it in the fridge for 2 days. Grill on the stove in a nonstick frying pan, each side for 5 min.med heat. When finished, cover with more sauce and sesame seeds.

  • @st604boy are you Larry David lol ? You remind me of him lol

  • @WATSONMUTH Haha who is Larry David?

  • are the sugar powder sugars? does it matter?

  • @st604boy - Hi, that's an interesting question because I've always used powder sugar so I don't know how it will turn out with any other kind of sugar i.e. do you mean cubes?

  • @LinhHayman well yea, cubes. or like the sugar that looks like salt.

  • @st604boy - sugar cubes are fine to use as they will give the same result :)

  • @LinhHayman I didnt use powdered sugar, and the sauce didn't turn thick. it tasted good, but I want the texture of the sauce to be thick. I'm a beginner at cooking, so could u please tell me if its the sugar I use that doesn't make the sauce thick or something else maybe? What factors causes the sauce to be thick? Thank you.

  • @gtrshreder - If you coat the chicken in the plain flour, then fry it, cut in to pieces and add the 1/4C soya, 1/2 C water and 2 tspn sugar with chicken and cook on Med heat until the sauce thickens. The flour will help make th sauce thicken, the sugar will also help caramelise the sauce but the main thickener will be the flour. If your sauce is runny, you can thicken it with 1 tbspn cornflour mix with 2 tbspn of water. This way your sauce will definitely thicken.

  • @LinhHayman thanks, the cornflour worked (y)

  • @LinhHayman powdered sugar/confectioner's sugar usually has cornstarch mixed in so you might not get the sauce as thick w/o reducing it if you add plain granulated sugar.

  • this video contains too much ingredients

  • Someone else here used marmalade. Oh ya.

  • I used to cook my teriyaki like this, but I used more sugar and a little less soy sauce. I like it really sweet.

  • @89Virus89 - Hi, that sounds good too, I do recommend less soya sauce too, especially if you don't want it to be salty, it's up to individual preference. My recipe is strong in flavour and we like soya sauce :)

  • The quantity of soy sauce made it a little bit to salty, but it looked good.I think instead of using 1/2 cup of soy sauce, it would be more heathy to use 1/4. Thank you for the recipe. I have learned a lot. Can't wait for the next video. : )

  • whats wit the seductive intro? @roshg1 why you gotta type chink, teabag sounding asians girls are hot trust me i got one ;)

  • How comes this chink sounds like a teabag? That's fucked up! But she's a hot looking chink.

  • is low soduim sauce ok

  • @TurtleDove81 - Hi, I'm not sure what you mean but if it looks and taste like soya with less salt, it's ok to use. It should be great for this recipe!

  • Looks good but I think you'd need to add some ginger and garlic for it to truly be a Teriyaki.

  • Thanks

  • they always have too much meat but not ebough rice...im like...well aint this a bitch.

  • im supa hungry now.

  • i thought teriyaki sauce used mirin as well?

  • @smurfiennes Hi, mirin is just sugar (it's in liquid form) :)

  • Oh my goodness that chicken Teriyaki looks so good!!!!!!!!

Can you make me some please?????????!!!!!!!

  • Hey do know how to make vietnamese stry spicy ckicken?

  • @HaiyTai Hey...thanks for the question but I don't know "stry" spicy chicken??" do you mean "stir fry spicy chicken?"

  • @LinhHayman Hey Linh Thanks... it have lemon grass, curry and red pepper!! it call somthing like ga ga sau earth!!

  • @HaiyTai Hi, I think I know what you are talking about...Lemon grass chicken stir fry and I just cooked it a few days ago for my family...they love it ! haha...I will try and post it soon for you...yummy!!!

  • looks good. i like the way the plate looks in the end. delicious (:

  • i think you should add sugar... in order to balance the saltiness of the sauce

  • meow

  • im hungry

  • My mom says that its a gift that im a boy and I like to cook lol

  • its not a gift its a curse

  • @MrBeaste me tooXD but it makes her lazy... so i end up doing all the cooking and grocery shopping sigh

  • Yes, I used a slightly lighter in salt soya so you should add 1/4 C to 1/2 Cup depending on Soya. For Kikkoman, they are little salty so use 1/2C next time! Thanks for the comment :)

  • @LinhHayman oh ! thats why mine turned out SO SALTY !!!

my soy sauce is salty and i added 1/4 cup of water ! :( it was black and salty at the end :(

  • @farfooshah1 Hi,add more water to it if it's salty...xoxo

  • I tried the recipe, it came out very salty. Was the water 1/4 cup or 1.4 cup which to me would equal 1 1/4 cuo water?

  • @hapakii 1.4 would be closer to 1 1/2. 1. 25 would be 1 1/4

  • will try this out tonight ;) tq
