  • fuckin sick

  • are those just plain maier yellow race cut fenders? they seem darker then normal

  • hey i have an 87 lt250r and was wondering if i could convert the twist throttle that's on it to a thumb throttle. I dont like the twist throttle because you dont get as much control with it. If you can please get back to me id really appreciate it. thank you!

  • great build love the quad

  • Ur right wheel is not on streight, might wanna look at it and adjust it

  • @QuadSpot No those were some really nice race cut Maier fenders I found. To be honest it is the only Maier plastic I have ever liked :P

  • what color blue did you use for the frame?

  • @Dkilby95 It's called Electric Blue. It has chrome flakes in it so it shimmers when the sun hits it. I love it :)

  • Just wanted to say this is beautiful and you should consider making a career out of it lol

  • I have the same motorcycle/atv stand!

  • What were some of parts websites u used 4 the restoration, any would help thanx if u wouldnt mind sharing, I have a 87 lt250 & lt500 to restore if u dont mind email me them at Cashawn1@netzero.com. Thanx Casey

  • What websites did u use 2 rebuild this 1 , if u remember and want 2 share my email is Cashawn1@netzero.com, I also have a 87 LT250, the one u built is spectacular lookin.

  • nice i just dont like dat yellow plastic

  • how much does a build like this cost. i can get a running 250r for free and was thinking about doing something similar

  • @np585 Haha well it wasn't cheap. Honestly I do not remember off hand what it finally ended up costing me. I would have to add up all my receipts for everything. But it is does not have to cost an arm and a leg if you do it right. You just have to look for deals on the parts and accessories you want and need :)

  • I really appreciate rebuilds like this. Vintage Suzuki quads are the best and with rebuilds like this they will last forever

  • Great job! I just rebuilt my 89' with an lt500 motor. but after seeing this I deffinatly want to spray the frame and get that extended swing arm. Thanx for keepin the lil zilla alive

  • dude! thats the nicest 87' 250r i ever seen! i have 2 of them, one i made a woods beater, the other now im looking to really make it something...this is sweet! incredible job on it..if ya dont mind can you mail me the bulk of the engine stuff you done...exhaust and all..thanks..i also have a 87 quad sport clutch compression release, reverse,is there build kits for that one?

  • didnt rebuild mine just got it running, 1985 and it runs like new! All original except a few seals and boy these quads can move.Did you buy NEW plastic?

  • @lemon48794879 yea those are Maier race cut fenders. I like them better than the stock ones.

  • Very nice quad ! I just finish my 91 there great ride

  • very clean and well built wish my dads looks like that haha

  • alot of work and money out into it trust me i know. i did it to my 92 250x. vids will be up soon.

  • What a good job that things puffy.

  • great job man very clean! im about to buy an 89 250r quadracer thats in peices but it has no head

  • how much money did yall spend on it .?

  • How much money yall spent on it.all together

  • Very nice.

  • great job first off! i have an 87 quadracer as well. what is the best place for replacement parts. they don't necessarily have to be o.m. parts, but good parts. do you have any suggestions on a place to shop?

  • @gmodesike To be honest Ebay and craigs list are the way to go. That way you are getting the original parts, and not some overpriced OEM replacement part that doesn't fit the correct way half the time anyway.

  • hey what kind of tires on the back and front?

  • how hard was it for you to get it dirty again

  • @rohockeykickass Haha the first few rides I cringed seeing any kind of water on the trails and putts through them, lol.

  • do the lt 250 engines last a long time or do they brake down a lot like a Yamaha banshee?

  • @jcumiford14 YOU should not get one .... obviously its something that you wont be able to understand ... YOU should get a 4 stroke ... like all good little girls should !!

  • @jcumiford14 no racing fourwheeler lasts a long time .. nothing, you ride a 2 stroke right and keep the oil changed and they run longer then these modern 450's though ..

  • @leafsrule16 ya a Yamaha banshee.ya my favorite thing to do after a hard ride is maintaining it.

  • @jcumiford14 sarcasam or? if thats sarcastic, i hope you take a good look at just about every atv on youtube and realize that if you dont look after them, they simply wont run. if not and you actually mean that, your lucky. haha

  • @leafsrule16 no im serious.myn has been running strong for almost 2 years now.because i take good care of it :)

  • thats a hot quad and nice band pick!!

  • Where did you get that sick case saver?

  • @goose2k1 I found it on ebay actually, A guy makes them. And he makes them for different sproket sizes as well. Extremely high quality too.

  • WOW!!!!!!! THAT THING IS FUCKIN BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! i just bought one of these, same year, and i was wantin to know how long it took u to fix this one... mine is a little worse off though, the bottom end is locked up and i got 2 other top ends but idk wat one is wat, neither are on it, and another disassembled bottom end... how do i tell wat top end is wat and how the hell do i fix the bottom end? bottom ends scare the hell outta me lol...

  • @3v4nsk4ggs Well congrats on the machine. And this one took me from January to March. I worked on it every day, with any spare time I had, lol. As far as top ends go look at the reed cage port. Does it have 5 or 6 bolt holes. 5 bolt holes was only on the 87, because it was the same reed cage size as the quadzilla, that why this year is so saught after. And bottom ends arent as bad as everyone makes then seem. I had a good ATV mechanic friend help me just in case but...

  • @3v4nsk4eggs you can pick up a Clymers manual that will walk you through basically everything. There is just no way i can help you with the bottom end without being able to see it and tinker with it. Hope this helps.

  • @TrippRacing777 Actaully the 87 s are the same and so are the 88+ are the same as the 88-90 500 the only 250 reeds that are diff are the 85-86 as they had internal reed cages ... the only difference between the 87 reed port and the 88+ is the porting is a little larger

  • @DidUAskMeFirst Exatly I had an 86 and an 89 for a little bit. And a buddy of minehas had a 500 for about 12 years now. and the 87 250 was the only year that had had the same reed cage size as the 500 and the exact same power valve as the 500 because 87 was the first year for the 500. But they made the reed cage size smaller in the 88+ as well as changing the power valve.

  • man my dad bought the lt250r the first year they came out and kept it untill 1998 then sold it if he would have kept it longer i could be riding one of these beast

  • should put some black webbing on the plastics but thats just me.(i have it on mine.)

  • Cuz the original Suzuki plastic color is yellow, and I like the way it looks. So yea, lol.

  • @TrippRacing777 Just curious, I see alot of guys using the 03 z 400 swinger, but they put in the stock lt250r axle. Will a z axle work if you also used the sprocket, disc, and hubs with z pattern wheels?

  • @tonyz400 Ok if i understand your question correctly then no it will not work. Because the brake stay is set up totally different so you would need to use the lt axle. Also I could be wrong but I believe the spline count on the z differs from that on the lt so they are not interchangeable. Hope that helped. Any more questions feel free to ask :)

  • awesome rebuild man, love the color of that frame. just curious tho why u pick that color of plastics?

  • @42bulldawg He didnt pick it suzuki did LOL

  • nice man! its beautiful.
