I am Canadian. And I agree : )) But, you are right, the results were amazing. So you think you can dance Canada did the same thing. It was a cheesy copy of the Amercian version, but the dancers were incredible... Crazy.

this show is rather unwatchable. It is just plain dull. Kelly is tough to listen to and has no business hosting a show about fashion. However, it is the narration that really kills the series. Why is there a narrator at all? I have watched the american, canadian and australian versions of runway and they are all three fantastic (canada being my fave cuz i <3 Iman!) The UK should have stuck to the format....

You know, I read your comment 2 days ago and I have watched 4 episodes so far - and I COMPLETELY AGREED WITH YOU. This show is horrible in comparison to the others (the AUS one is my favourite). Ben is a horrible mentor as I have come to realise. Having a mentor that is also a judge defeats the purpose of everything. If you disagree with him he will axe you. In episode 4 he said that a golden jacket was beautiful - it was HORRIBLE! And kelly has no right being here. I have stopped watching.

I instantly like you because you agree with me. AUS version is very nice and Ms. Hinze is tops.I just found that the canadian designers work was, in general, superior to that of many of the other version's designers(esp. the two winners). This also surprised me because "Canadian" is my euphemism for boring...no real offense intended canadians!

I love her too! Have you noticed how Heidi in the US version has really stepped up her 'personality"? She is less robotic haha. And it just comes across sooooo fake. I tried watching the Filipino version but they kept switching between English and Filipino and it was annoying to watch. But you are spot on about this UK version. It is GARBAGE. Kelly wears hideous clothes, all the contestants SUCK at making clothes! AMAZINGLY-SUCK. And the overall feel of this show looks so cheap!

You are right, Heidi is better, but it's always seemed a bit forced, i don't hate her, but i certainly don't love her. Would love to see someone else take over (linda evangelista, veronica webb or any supermodel of that era looking a gig) Iman's the best.She worked with or was a muse to all the legends, has amazing presence, commands respect and she is sooo hilarious, in contrast. In the Filipino version, they only win about 11,000 US., i can't knock a show that is working with so little.

A lot of TV programs which you may have seen in America also have versions in other countries.

In Britain the name for what the models walk down is a 'catwalk'...

Here, the word 'runway' just means what an airplane drives along before it takes off!

I think this version of project runway is missing a lot of the key elements that makes project runway great. It misses the supportive Tim Gunn figure (Ben De Lisi seems like more of a hinderance than a help) and this version lacks the dramatic eliminations completely (i admit i like the "you're in and you're out" thing). Keep in mind this is just my opinion and you may like this show and thats fine. I do like Kelly Osbourne as the host though.

The Commonwealth covers countries that come under the rule so to speak of the Queen of England. Australia was originally a colony from England. Countries in the Commonwealth have their own governments (usually with Prime Ministers as head) but kinda are still under the Monarchy. There is a Commonwealth Gamesm like the Olympics held every 4 years for commonwealth contries to compete in.

As an Australian (born and living in australia) I can tell you that we are still in the Commonwealth. Australia isn't a republic (yet). The people here, may have originally come from Canada and Aus, but they most likely live in the UK as a permanent residence.
